I think it sounds pretty cool actually. Been to a live concert showing at a movie theatre and it was awesome and actually had a great atmosphere. For something like Mania I imagine it would be the same and could do good business. Even the enhanced ticket price would be cheaper than ordering it. Though it won't be in the UK, I'd go if the option were there Yes, but Sky Box Office have a 3D channel - they've used it for boxing in the past so I'd be surprised if, should the option be available, they don't show it in 3D on PPV. No need for it to be beamed into cinemas in the UK at all. Yeah, but that involves having a 3d telly! Even more expensive than getting the PPV. If this were in certain UK cinemas, hell, even if just a 2D version was, I'd be all over this like a flannel. Vue Cinemas show the big 4 if there's enough interest in the local area. I'd advise you and your fellow Wallasey Wrestling Fans (Don't use the acronym, though.) to start asking your nearest Vue to show Wrestlemania. That's how we got Wrestlemania 24 in Edinburgh, and last year's Royal Rumble in Brighton. Vue in Edinburgh showed Mania?! Why did I not know about this?! Which one - Ocean Terminal or Omni? Was it live at stupid o clock in the morning?

Think if they had done this every Wrestlemania. There could have been two Doinks coming right at me! IT'S AN ILLUSION!

This may not even happen though: Aww crap, now I feel like an idiot. The site I got that from only posted what I said in the OP, and omitted everything there.

I would rather be able to watch Wrestlemania 3D in my home - where I can BBQ and drink beer as well. Sitting in theater full of ... ugh ... wrestling fans ... and no beer doesn't sound appealing to me at all. It'll be mostly kids marking for Cena/Orton/Mysterio.

I'm not a fan of 3D, but I'd love to see Mania on the big screen. Count me in!

I miss the days when 3D was a rare experiance. A gimmick which was so rare it blew your mind. Now if I want to see films, my cinema doesn't even have a 2D option half the time so I have to sit through a filn with these stupid glasses over my normal glasses and not gasp when every 20 minutes, a very minor pop up effect happens. Same here. It's an annoying gimmick now....every movie is 3d. I also wear glasses so I know your pain. That'd be very cool to see WM in 3d in a theater...I have tickets to the event but if I didn't I'd certainly consider that option.

They showed it live, it was pretty cool getting to watch a PPV with a whole load of people in one place. I believe one of the bars in Omni shows all the PPVs but obviously they close at 3 so you miss the main events except for at Summerslam. Edit: Is it weird that whenever someone from near me is on here, I automatically assume it's someone I know and try to figure it out?

I actually used to work at the Vue there (hence being doubly surprised at not knowing about it), and night shifts invariably involved a taxi. Hehe, I'm sure you probably don't know me. I stayed in Edinburgh for several years, but moved up north a bit over a year ago. Hopefully will make it back soon, I miss living there. Plus, I wasn't really watching WWE at the time, until I accidentally caught Drew's debut and my bf introduced me to the joy of Nexus . That said, I'm sure someone on here had the Highlands as their location and I freaked out thinking they must know me!
