The 1.4 SmackDown! rating set a record low for a first-run episode of SmackDown! on Syfy.
At this rate impact will be beating weekly they really need to get there act together wasn't the live smackdown on usa a 3.3 or something like that ?.

I'm not one for making excuses but last Smackdown was on New Years eve. They're lucky they got what they did.

Their lucky it wasn't lower considering it was New Years Eve.

Smackdown was watched by around a million more people than Impact. TNA's got a long way to go to catch up to it.

I usually avoid ratings threads, but I have to figure even wrestling fans have something better to do on New Years Eve.
I mean, I didn't... but I'm sure others did. ;D

It doesn't just drop like that, New Year's had to have been a big factor.

Yeah, I'm a wrestling nerd, but even I went out for New Year's. I don't think we should be digging Smackdown's grave just yet.
Kane/Edge and Mysterio/Del Rio, though played out, should ensure an increase this week.
