Or is there some sort of booking curse with the winners of NXT? I mean: Season 1: Brings in a group with a ton of early momentum, only to get buried by Cena, lose to Orton a couple of times, then possibly get replaced by CM Punk. Season 2: Only won ONE match after winning, lost his title shot after a great effort, heads back to losing, gets canned. Season 3: Only appears once since winning, gets eliminated in less then thirty seconds in a battle royal. I mean, come on. If your going to have them win the show, why treat them this way?

I don't think Wade has been treated that badly. While I wish he'd won the belt by now, he has had a pretty stunning rookie year.

I think Barrett will be fine. Even if his Nexus ordeal plan didn't pan out, he headlined 3 PPV's in a row, which is pretty spectacular. I think he'll meddle around in the midcard for a bit, then jump back into the main event scene.

Kaval won 3 matches on Smackdown. That's more than Alex Riley, Hennig, or Husky combined has gotten on Raw.

He's still fired, though. He asked for his release. I did not know that. Thanks for the information, as this will finally calm down my best friend. Carry on.

Wades done okay.
I wouldn't say he's been buried by Cena at all. Up until Cena got "fired" Barrett was actually pretty much dominating him. I think he pinned Cena 4 times in their feud in different matches which ain't too shabby.
Plus he's headlined 3 PPV's and been made to look at the same level as the WWE's main eventers like Cena, Edge and Orton.
The other 2 though there's no excuse. Especially with Kaval where they somehow thought jobbing him out to Chavo of all people was a good idea.

Wade's done absolutely fine since winning NXT. He's been headlining PPVs for most of the year and came really close to winning the title on several occassions.

That's not fair on Barrett's part, anyone they put on RAW will lose to Orton a few times and get buried by Cena.

Wade's done better than anyone on NXT, followed by Bryan.
Also, that pic of him makes me want to see him with a Delboy Trotter gimmick.

Well, they picked the best of FCW for NXT1... there were some not-so-ready guys for the second seasons, divas on the third and I think they reached the bottom of the barrel. They are simply using people for NXT who aren't ready yet for WWE. Kaval and Daniel Bryan being notably exceptions, and they really erred with Kaval's treatement.

Main eventing PPVs and getting WWE Title matches is a curse?
Where can I sign Zack Ryder up?

Kaval won 3 matches on Smackdown. That's more than Alex Riley, Hennig, or Husky combined has gotten on Raw. Kaval got jobbed out the minute he appeared on Smackdown, and won solely so he'll look like a semi-credible threat when they burned off his title shot. Then he went right back to jobbing, and was told by management that they had no plans for him for the foreseeable future. Kaval was left with two options: Continue jobbing until they finally get around to releasing him in the next round of roster cullings and damaging his marketability on the indy circuit, or quit and go back to the indies now while his name still means something. IMO, he took the smart choice. A-Ri, Harris, and Henning aren't doing any better in terms of win-loss records, but they're at least involved in top-level storylines. Harris and Henning also at least get to occasionally look like credible threats during the Nexus group beatdowns. Quite frankly, I'd rather be at least a part of main event feuds with the likes of Cena, Miz, Punk and Orton and getting my face on TV on a weekly basis than being jobbed out on Smackdown for four months straight and barely being mentioned as anything other than that guy that Drew Mcyntire ran over. WWE already made up their minds on Kaval -- He was a jobber and that likely was not going to change. There's a not-insignifcant chance that the other three will fare better in the long run.

If your going to have them win the show, why treat them this way? because the show does not feature established stars who you are sure can carry a main event. Barrett's booking was just fine, he was made a star and became the top heel, since supplanted, in a company that relies on top faces. Kaval's booking was rough, but for the most part he looked good in his matches, got an IC title shot and was involved in the main event program for Bragging Rights. Kaitlyn just isn't ready.

Kaval I agree with. Barrett on the other hand has done incredibly well for himself.

Kaval took no part in the main event in Bragging Rights. Unless you consider getting destroyed by the Big Show and Tyler Rex in the qualifying match as being involved.

And Kaval won his match with Big Show based on the stipulations involved, then had the fighting spirit to accept another match when challenged.

And Kaval won his match with Big Show based on the stipulations involved, then had the fighting spirit to accept another match when challenged. That's really, really stretching it to the point where it borders on being revisionist history. The guy was not a member of the Smackdown team. At no time did he appear on the PPV. The only reason he was in that match in the first place was to be fed to Tyler Reks so he could at least look like a threat to fans who had no idea who he was. He was never allowed to look like he had any chance of winning that qualifier, and even the announcers basically spent five minutes saying that the Big show could finish off Kaval any time he wanted to and that Kaval never had a chance. He then won the match half a second before being on the wrong end of a chokeslam, and was immediately then fed to Tyler Reks. Kaval was about as involved in the main event at Bragging Rights as Chris Masters.
