Why did the WWE air the Great American Bash under its label only to no longer future GAB's? How come it never tried to air WWE Starrcade, for instance? I am just curious. Also, who aired their ppvs first; JCP/WCW or the WWF/E? In other words, did JCP air any ppv before the WWE/F did?

Probably because The Bash had a patriotic theme, and Starrcade sounds like a gameshow where kids play arcade games. Why do you think it had the extra R?

I still say instead of Bragging Rights they should have done Halloween Havoc.

I still say instead of Bragging Rights they should have done Halloween Havoc. This this this. That was my all-time favorite WCW PPV. I would probably sob with happiness if it was ever brought back.

I don't even understand why WWE picked up The Great American Bash considering it had it's own ripoff Summerslam well established. Starrcade would have been pointless, since that was NWA/WCW's Wrestlemania. If anything the previous poster had the best ppv for them to feature, Halloween Havoc. It was one of WCW's top ppvs and had a concept that WWE wasn't using. Bragging Rights is better suited being a three hour Raw instead of a ppv.

But, Halloween Havoc as a name just sounds stupid (not that that's stopped them recently). And the novelty would wear off in about 5 minutes when people realize that it's just going to be another WWE PPV with a lame name.

I dont see how Summerslam was a ripoff other than the fact it takes place during the summer. Besides the GAB didn't start as a PPV, it started as a summer tour in some of the bigger arena's in the south.
As for Halloween Havoc, while there have been some good matches at that event over the years, lets face it...most of them sucked, I think people just want them to use the name, it certainly can't be for the legacy of that PPV.

There was a report floating round right before the first Taboo Tuesday that that PPV would be called Halloween Havoc, I was so pissed when it didn't turn out that way.

With the brand extension, they should've done a Battlebowl knock off. But, you know, doing it well.
