{Spoiler}I will never like the Heat. NEVER. But.... a series like this makes you respect the opposition. Every game has been an unadulterated battle. I guess you can call this begrudging respect?

BTW, Doyle's question after Game 3 was f***ing stupid. Tonight it would have struck home. Did LeBron know there was a game tonight?

We don't go away Miami! We aren't the f***ing gutless Lakers! Nor are they the f***ing creaky Celtics or the f***ing thin Bulls.

Only 4 shots inside of 10 feet tonight for LeBron compared to 8 in Game 3. He wasn't scoring much, but he did have 9 boards & 8 assists. I'm fully expecting LeBron to have more attempts than Chris Bosh in Game 5, who didn't play well after a terrific 1st half

Came home after working a late shift at the job, needless to say I was very happy to see that Dallas tied the series. I can also admit that I was very concerned about their lack of offense, inconsistent defense, and Dirk being the only clutch player would hurt them more tonight.
After they lost the first game in Dallas I thought it was over. But I am happy to see that it isn't. If Dallas starts knocking down open shots then Miami is in trouble I feel.

When was the last time a great team played so HORRIBLY with a lead the way Miami does? Good lord. It's mind boggling. I dont understand how they seem to always take their foot off the gas. Great teams have that killer instinct. Right now, Miami doesnt

With last night's game by Dirk, and game 5 coming up next, it's only fitting to post this. The greatest performance in game 5 history, and quite possibly the greatest performance in 1 game in the NBA Finals

When was the last time a great team played so HORRIBLY with a lead the way Miami does? Good lord. It's mind boggling. I dont understand how they seem to always take their foot off the gas. Great teams have that killer instinct. Right now, Miami doesnt As a team they absolutely don't. Dwayne Wade clearly does, but you can't really ask him to do more than he has in this series. To a slightly lesser degree he's reliving 2006 thanks to Jason Kidd trying to guard him. As a collective unit though they seem to like to coast. That's the one thing I think they do have in common with that infamous 2004 Laker team. They're good, they know they're good, and some times they let the fact that they know they're good cloud their approach to these games. I don't care who it is, but once you're in the Finals you can't coast. The Nets at least made the Lakers work for three of those wins in that 2002 sweep. No one is going to the Finals to lay down for you. It's mind numbing as well when you consider that they just watched Dallas do this three times to Oklahoma City. Granted Miami is much better than OKC right now, but Dallas doesn't care. I still feel that Miami is a little bit better of a team than Dallas, and I'm still holding to my prediction from the beginning of the series that they win in 6, but they're teetering dangerously close to throwing away this chance. I'm not trying to take away from the fact that Dallas has two wins now, but this could have easily been a sweep. If someone other than Dwayne Wade wanted to slam their foot on someone's throat and play like a Champion, this would have been 4-0 after last night and we'd be talking about how unbelievably dominant this team turned out to be. Instead they're reverting back to November and making those same mistakes again. Someone else has to want this. Bosh has played well, but I don't think you can ask him to win a game like he did in Game 3 four times in a series. Much as I defend him and like him, last night and a 50% share of Game 2 fall on LeBron's shoulders. I don't care if he was a couple of this and that away from a triple double last night, he didn't play well. Scoring isn't everything, but it isn't nothing either. If he puts up what would be considered an off night from him last night (13-14 points) they win. He can't have single digits. He just can't. He's too talented and too good to be that passive. I'm not intentionally trying to discredit the unreal job that DeShawn Stevenson and more so Shawn Marion have done defending him either. I totally wrote Marion off in the OKC series and he made me look foolish. He's doing that same thing to LeBron here, but LeBron has a wider set of skills at this point in his career than Kevin Durant does. There's no excuse for him not hanging at least 18-20 on Marion every night. And once again, if he does that, they're winning last night's game and have a strangle hold on this series. They're hanging really close to the edge of blowing this here. If Dallas just nutted up and steamrolled them it would be one thing, but at least a large portion of what's happened in these losses has been on their shoulders. They took their foot off the gas in Game 2 and lost all of their rhythm about 4 minutes too soon, and last night was similar. I guess if I wanted to flip it I could say that Dallas' bench and supporting cast FINALLY went off last night, Dirk played well, they were at home, and yet it still took an inexplicable single digit night from LeBron James, an offensive explosion by his standards from Stevenson, and a missed free throw from Dwayne Wade to pull out a 3 point win at home. I still feel confident that Miami will close this, but where it should have been 5, they're going to end up possibly having to win two straight at home to take this. That's on them.

I give credit where credit is due. Miami is playing some tough basketball, but I think Miami fans need to give Dallas credit too. I know I've said Dallas is the better team and to some extent, I still do believe that.
But if Miami is the better team and has the better talent, then why are they struggling? If they're so amazing and invincible, then with an ailing Dirk and a streaky Dallas bench they should be destroying them. With the exception of Game 1 every game has been decided off of a final shot.
So I think credit goes to both teams honestly. But I feel Miami fans believe Dallas is soft and don't want to give them any respect.

Through 4 games, this series is drawing a better rating than last year's Lakers/Celtics series.

On that same note, if Miami is mediocre, why is Miami taking them to the limit every game?

DeAndre was really impressive this season, so it makes sense they'd shop Kaman. I love Kaman, he might be the best pure Center in the West, when healthy. That's been the main drawback for Kaman, he can't remain healthy. Last season he was healthy, and put up an excellent season.

I really want to agree with you... but that argument is the type were you can swap the two teams and it would still be about 97% true.

If we would actually commit to defending Wade the way we have LeBron, we would be in much better shape I think.
We (before Game 4 at least) start Stevenson on him, but then it goes into an array of Kidd, Terry, sometimes even Barea, etc. Guys who really can't handle him. Kidd can, but not over the long haul like they have been trying. Terry can't guard shit, and Barea just can't match up with him size wise.
Stevenson should be playing a lot more then he is. We should also be giving Corey Brewer time, as he is another good option to stick on Wade. But for whatever reason, we just think we can slide by with whoever on Wade.
Shawn Marion is doing a great job in his role. I just wish we would actually attempt the same type of defensive intensity on Wade. I think we have the guys to do it, we just aren't using them enough or at all.

I'm surprised Brewer hasn't played as well. I thought the entire bidding war victory for his services was for a moment like this.

I say they should do a three team trade with Ellis, Kaman and Iggy: Kaman goes to Golden State as starting center next to David Lee. Ellis goes to Philly as starting shooting guard with Turner on the other wing. Iggy goes to the Clippers when he starts as small forward. Curry/Draft Pick/Wright/Lee/Kaman Holiday/Ellis/Turner/Brand/Hawes Williams/Gordon/Iguodala/Griffin/Jordan That Clipper starting five really does look fantastic.

The 76ers would be fools if they traded for Monta Ellis IMO
