Am I alone in not really caring about WWE's Blu Rays? I'm a videophile, and love what the Blu Ray format can do in brining forth additional detail and stuff, but the 1080i footage I saw on the Best PPV Matches of 2009-2010 wasn't really that stellar, macroblocking all over the place and not a lot in increased detail. Unless they start shooting on film or at least taping in 1080p I just don't see the incentive for having it over DVDs.

Then they cram it onto a standard definition format, and this isn't film, so the quality is dependent on the format it's released on. On a normal DVD player you won't notice it, but put say the MITB 11 DVD in a Blu Ray player and watch it and it's like downscaling instead of upscaling. It's all digitally grainy, and blurry. This is my experience at least.

SD PPV's on SD PPV's look like garbage too. For an instance, watch Triple H's entrance in particular from Wrestlemania XX. He looks like a big image of poorly constructed blocks! Macroblocking is hideous, no doubt about it. However, with how WWE operates, it may not be easy to avoid.

OK, gonna try not to sound like a huge spammy spammerson here. Been without a job for a couple of months, and don't exactly know how long it'll be before I can find one. So, I'm selling my pretty decently sized(Probably around 175-250 DVD) wrestling DVD collection on Ebay over the next couple weeks. A good chunk of WWE Stuff(chief among them the Summerslam, Rumble, and WM anthologies), as well as a lot of ROH and a few Big Vision DVDs. It's honestly been 2+ years since I've looked at it all, so I can't post for sure what I'm selling, or what I even have. I'm posting the Anthology sets tonight though, and I'll keep putting stuff up on ebay over the next few weeks. Here's my seller pageThanks for helping me out. I'm not looking to scam a profit or anything. I just want to be able to continue to live in my apartment with electricity and internet and food for myself and my kitty.

Would it be worth going back to get Summer Slam 2010 on blu ray?

I might have to check this out. Then again, my local Wal-Marts never carry anything cool.

I'm having to re-re-sell my Summerslam Anthology, since the last guy who won the auction has yet to reply to any of my e-mails, or pay for it, and it's been over a week.
it is live, now. It's at about ~$40, I believe, with a little over 3 days left, I think. I'll probably list a few more WWE ones(Ric Flair, Horsemen, or something) and maybe some ROH between now and the end of the weekend.

I like how they have (learn more) next to "Sales Tax," yet it isn't a link. It's as if the WWE is just suggesting that we learn more, in general.
It's also easier for me to fork down $6.99 for shipping and handling from the WWE as a lump price, as opposed to ordering from TNA who actually break down the shipping and handlings prices separately, getting me momentarily outraged that it costs $3.00 for Nick Hogan to put 'Nevermore: the Best of Raven' in a f***ing envelope.
BTW - Thanks DrX25 for linking to the sale, I otherwise would not have known!

BTW - Thanks DrX25 for linking to the sale, I otherwise would not have known! Same here. I probably shouldn't have spent the money but I splurged and got the Blu-Rays for Falls Count Anywhere, Best of Clash of Champions, Best of Raw and Smackdown 2011 and Best PPV Matches of 2011 for about $45 total. I'll think of it as an early birthday present, even though according to shipping I'll probably get it around my birthday anyway.
