Old thread ended here... officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=WWE&action=display&thread=366570&page=29I titled the last thread the race to 300, because well I was at 274 at the time. At the start of this thread I'm currently at 340. I haven't been collecting as much vintage stuff lately, mostly getting newer stuff from Amazon. However... I did pick up recently a WWE DVD that couldn't be bought in stores, or given away as part of a promo. In fact, I would bet there are probably less than 100 of these in existence. Behold! {Spoiler} This is a DVD that WWE sent out to Emmy nominators a few years back. An attempt to get WWE nominated for their Tribute to the Troops show. Obviously this was a tactic that didn't work, and I'm guessing there are more of these in landfills than in DVD collections. But I don't care what its worth. To me its simply a very unique WWE DVD that I'm very happy to have in my collection. Just figured you guys would like to see it. Continue on the discussion.

Well I picked up Taboo Tuesday 04, Great American Bash 06, and No Mercy 06. So that should give me every PPV released on DVD from Wrestlemania 15 to Unforgiven 2008. There are still a few from 08,09, and 2010 that I dont have.
EDIT: Turns out the only DVDs I need for the complete collection of WWE PPV releases up to now are No Mercy 08, and Fatal 4way. Night of Champions 11 will arrive on Tuesday. I didn't realize I was that close.

I won auctions for Armageddon 2000 and Unforgiven 1998 today on VHS. I currently have every US PPV from at least Unforgiven 2002 - Elimination Chamber 2010, and a lot from 1998 -2002. I feel optimistic about being able to legitimately get all of them from 1998 - 2010 without spending too much per show, except for Judgment Day and Vengeance 2002. I have no idea what I'm going to do for those two.

You can tell which versions are Canadian because they they were distributed by a company called KOCH, and their logo is in blue on the DVD spines. Some people try to pass these off as the much rarer American versions, but don't be fooled. Make sure you tell any seller you know the difference.

Are they still in print/available from any e-commerce sites?

I have 2 questions to ask regarding WWE DVDS: 1.When it comes to the used ones or rare ones per se what makes some pricier than others, just curious cause some like the jericho armageddon one I have seen for like $14.99 used and it seems pricey for a ppv that doesn't seem like it might have been that big.
2.What Walmarts are you people finding these WWE dvds for so cheap...Where I live we only get 2 WWE DVDS that are new releases and that is it...No cheap ones to be found in any of cheaper bins atleast are K Mart sells WWE DVDs which are new but never older titles,Any info on any of this would be great.

I'm not really a collector, but I've got some knowledge from reading these threads and my experiences being a niche gamer. 1. Availability or print run size. WrestleMania X7's demand is super high due to its stratospheric reputation, and Judgment Day and Vengeance 2002 were sold only via WWEshop.com for a limited time, to cite three examples. I'd think an appeal of the actual WWF PPV releases is that the logo's unblurred, and that's why there's sometimes a premium on them. ToyfareMark's wet dream, the collector's edition Trish DVD, is a special 2-disc version that was only sold at FYE stores in a very limited quantity. Armageddon 2008 that you mentioned (which I'm actually watching right now, coincidentally) is also pretty recent, so its price is still relatively high. It's also a very good event, I paid $9.99 for it but I would gladly have given $15 were that its price. 2. Walmart's usually got a $5 bin of DVDs, and sometimes you'll find some WWE stuff in them. I found my WCCW DVD in there, and I also saw the Mr. Perfect and Andre the Giant DVDs in there as well. It is a luck of the draw, though, I haven't found anything in the bargain bin of late.

It looked like they just dumped a whole bunch of new stuff into the bins so they're probably worth another look.

I ended up getting the Trish FYE exclusive a few months ago, its a single disc. It also cost me a big chunk of change lol. As for the KOCH versions of Judgment Day 02, and Vengeance 02. Its simply a matter of searching. Like I said some people try to push these as the American versions. I guess you could try searching Canadian retailers that ship to the US. If all else fails, you can get the Silvervision versions from the UK, you'd just have to find a way to to play them.

My mistake, sorry. I'm glad you found it, from what I've read it definitely would be a hit on your fundage, ouch.
That Tribute to the Troops Emmy DVD is a great find as well. I had no idea WWE tried to get it nominated, and a "for your consideration" disc for it is very unique indeed.
Since we're on the topic of things more recent, I need to get Money in the Bank as soon as I can. I watched Punk/Cena the other day and it's super incredible. The match itself is wonderful but that crowd, my God. Unearthly heat.

I still want to get my hands on Vengeance and Judgment Day of 2002. There are times when I see them at a much fairer price on Amazon but then someone else beats me to them.
Anyway, I got back into collecting after being out of it for a few months, with the exception of a TNA DVD that I ordered online back in July I think. Some of those website exclusive DVDs of TNA are hard to come by.
I do remember back in May, I went into Dimple Records and found some WWE and TNA DVDs in the bargain bin. I couldn't pass it up, even though I bought some bad PPVs of 2007 like Judgment Day and Vengeance: Night of Champions, as well as Cyber Sunday. I read that there were only a few decent to good PPVs of 2007.

Good call on the Silvervision route. A seller on the Amazon.co.uk marketplace had them both for about 6 pounds, coming to under $30 altogether with shipping. Because on other items I've checked the marketplace sellers didn't ship internationally I didn't think to click on them before.

I really think this depends on the walmart cause I digged through the cheap dvd bin at the one here and found none of these cheap ones that everyone is finding cause if I did I would def pick them since I will buy a cheap one I don't have gladly over a newer one.

Anyone got the Shawn and Bret Hart DVD/Blu-ray yet? Also is the Randy Orton set worth getting? Since I'm American, I don't get Hart/HBK set until next week. As with Orton. I ordered the BD last week off Amazon NEW for NINE DOLLARS! Even if the set sucks, that's a big value of money!

Orton's set is fantastic, especially the Blu-Ray, which has some features and matches not on the DVD.

That Tribute to the Troops disc in the OP is rare and really cool that you managed to add it to your collection. If you don't mind me asking, where/how did you find it, and how much did it cost? I hope I find one in a landfil some day And another quick question.... I just finished re-watching my original Ladder Match DVD set last night, and it has me wondering: Are any of the matches on the new Ladder Match 2 DVD the same as the first one, or are they all new matches? Seems like an obvious answer, but I was just curious.
