That Tribute to the Troops disc in the OP is rare and really cool that you managed to add it to your collection. If you don't mind me asking, where/how did you find it, and how much did it cost? I hope I find one in a landfil some day And another quick question.... I just finished re-watching my original Ladder Match DVD set last night, and it has me wondering: Are any of the matches on the new Ladder Match 2 DVD the same as the first one, or are they all new matches? Seems like an obvious answer, but I was just curious. I bought it on eBay from the same guy I got the FYE Trish DVD. It was an auction, got pretty heated, ended up paying around 120 dollars. So it wasn't cheap, but I really wanted it. As for the Ladder match sets. I would hope both are different. It's funny because I got the new one on Blu, and I have the first one, but haven't opened either yet lol.

There are different matches on both sets. For some reason they saved the Razor/Shawn match from WM X for the second set instead of the first. Yeah I found it surprising that it wasn't on the first set, but they second or third match was their ladder match from SummerSlam, so maybe they just didn't want to have both on the same set? Planning on picking up the Bret/Shawn and Ladder Match 2 sets next weekend, along with a blu-ray player....

Well I picked up No Mercy 08, and Fatal 4 Way on Amazon yesterday. So now I will own every PPV WWE has released on DVD domestically. If you count Tagged Classics from the UK, I have every PPV on DVD in chronological order from Royal Rumble 2000, all the way to Night of Champions 2011.
I should celebrate by watching December 2 Dismember, GAB 2004, and Armageddon 03 all in a row... But I won't lol.
By the way. No Mercy 08 is only 6.68 new on Amazon right now, and eligible for Prime if anyone is interested. Just giving a heads up.

Went by the local MovieStop today...they had a ton of wrestling dvds in stock this go round. I had all but 1 of the used ones though and that's the story.
They had at least 5 copies of the John Cena Experience dvd used for sale. 4 of them were marked at $16.99. 1 was marked at $9.99.
Logically I went up to the counter with the $9.99 one. The lady tried to argue with me that the dvd was mispriced and it should be $16.99 so it was just marked wrong. I pulled the "you must sell it at the advertised price" card and walked out getting it for $9.99.
I hate when people try to do that. If it's marked that price just sell it to me for that price. I'm not the one who made the error.

Places around here know that if they put a price on something, they have to sell it for that amount. Its not your fault for catching a mistake.

I don't get how this thread keeps falling back down the pages and getting lost in the shuffle.
So the Bret/HBK dvd comes out on Tuesday.
What's the best brick & mortar store (NOT amazon) to pick up the DVD copy? Only store-ad I noticed even had it listed was Kmart. Anywhere got anything extra with it or a lower price?

^I'm considering it....JR has been hyping it up.
I refuse to buy Blu-Ray releases for anything despite own two Blu-Ray players.
I don't get why the sole match...the whole reason the dvd exists....isn't even on the regular release.
If I could get it cheap or with something else I need I'd get it.
Otherwise it can certainly wait.

Why does no one get why the second biggest selling point of a DVD is ONLY available on the MORE EXPENSIVE version? They think that for most people, this is a must have of sorts...so why not encourage more profit?

I mentioned this in another thread a week or so ago, I got this year's SummerSlam and Night of Champions at Walmart, along with the Survivor Series 2009 and 2010 two-fer. WWE seems to be on a bit of a roll with their PPVs lately (I read through the Vengeance thread and it seems like it was a surprisingly good show) and Bad Booking mentioned SS 2009 as being great, so I think this purchase should turn out well enough. Survivor Series 2010 did lead to John Cena overcoming the odds vs. unemployment though, hahaha. Also, I've got a question: do all of the US Tagged Classics rereleases keep the original DVD cases and packaging? The Judgment Day/Bad Blood 2004 one does, and I was thinking about getting the Royal Rumble/No Way Out 2003 release as well. I'd love to keep the big "2003" spine mural intact; it's a great touch. What's the best brick & mortar store (NOT amazon) to pick up the DVD copy? Only store-ad I noticed even had it listed was Kmart. Anywhere got anything extra with it or a lower price? Walmart tends to have most new WWE releases in stock for decent prices, though their stock fluctuates from region to region. Maybe try checking there?

I received the Shawn v. Bret blu-ray on October 14th from Silvervision - the first time I've pre-ordered from the them directly, I was amazed to get it so early.
Needless to say it's fantastic, I still can't believe a set like this has been made. The main interview has some really powerful moments and great insights, though at times you really start to appreciate how insecure they were, and how petty some of the backstage stuff is/was - which lets face it is the kind of stuff we went to hear really.

They do have volumes 1 & 2 of the Rumble anthologies for 30 bucks each. It's a great deal if you can wait for a free shipping promo. Just plan to wait a little while for them.
