I watched the documentary on the Bio Channel when that premiered (they did a two-night, four hour deal), and honestly believe that it's one of the best documentaries that I ever had a chance of seeing. There's a couple nitpicks in there, like the omission of some actors (you should know who they are, based off where they are now, heh), but it's fun.

Just saw the movie buried and I thought it was great. Reynolds did good in the movie and I loved the different camera endings.
Spoiler:
I felt so bad for him at the end!!!!! I thought it was maybe a test to see if he could get a top job, but at the end when they find Mark White instead of him, that was great. Plus the insurance guy=douche

Plus the insurance guy=douche One of my co-workers told me to check that out. After The Vanishing (the original, not the cheesy U.S. remake), though, it's a little difficult for me to watch any other "buried alive" movies. Secondly, my last review was...yet another rip-roaring success.

Just finished Never Sleep Again. Hands down the best documentary I've ever seen! Granted, ANOES is my favorite horror series and I've always considered Freddy my father figure in horror, as he was the first figure I seen when I was a kid (and he frightened the shit out of me). It was thorough, detailed, engaging, informative, funny and an all-around blast. It was better than anything on the extra disc from the Box Set, as it flowed much better.
I didn't watch it in one sitting, though I easily could have (it's four hours long). The only reason I didn't was because I've been watching an hour or so every night before I went into work.
I put the second disc, which is all special features, at the top of my queue. There's a short wait, so I may not get it for another few weeks. I'll make sure to always have it at the top, so when it's ready, it'll be shipped to me.
Final Grade: A+

Secondly, my last review was...yet another rip-roaring success. Ah, sorry. I read the review (I read every review posted in these threads), but I've never seen THE HAUNTING (I really should fix that problem), so I had nothing to add.

So, The Cinema Snob was talking about Dahmer vs Gacy, and the way he talks about it, it's godawful. And, from looking at the trailer and bits of it online, I would concur.

Wow, I almost threw eggs at my face. I was going to link you guys to Mary Elizabeth Winstead's and Eric Christian Olsen's Twitter accounts because they both posted tweets that they FINALLY watched The Thing. Suddenly, my nerd rage starts fuming. The two people in the newest remake of the movie, and they HAVEN'T EVEN WATCHED THE ORIGINAL, LET ALONE CARPENTER'S VERSION! That's when the lightbulb hit and realized that they both watched THEIR VERSION of the movie. *sigh* False alarm, people!

If I'm correct, Eric Christian Olsen was a teen when Carpenter's came out (which is sad, considering he just played one a few years ago in Fired Up!).

And, as much as I love Carpenter's THE THING, I still haven't seen the original (or read the story from which it's based).

And, as much as I love Carpenter's THE THING, I still haven't seen the original (or read the story from which it's based). Believe me, you're not missing much. The Carpenter version is LOADS better - still the gold standard for how a remake SHOULD be done. TR's OT rant time (that should really be a segment on here ;D)...good lord, this message board has been TAKEN OVER by the freakin' My Little Pony stuff. Here we are on a board populated by 95% robust males, and I'd be willing to bet that you won't find a SINGLE PAGE in recent Off-Topic without at least one picture of a pink, pretty pony floating around somewhere. Just...strange. I'm at a loss. It seems like this thread is the ONLY safe haven from it all.

I got crapped down my neck because I posted that it was the meme that I hated the most at the moment. Not just that, but a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away), I posted a thread when this trend was in the beginning stages on why everybody liked the damn show, and everybody hijacked it and turned it into the thing that's currently at 9 FREAKIN' THREADS! I made that thread on April 30th, and it currently goes through a thread every two-three days. Sorry, I just don't like stupid s***. [/rant]

I once posted a thread detailing my hatred for Mariah Carey, and with a couple exceptions, nobody in that thing was on my side. In slightly more horror(ish) news, Super 8 is out today, and while I usually pay critical notices no mind and/or importance, a lot of the comments have me excited about this one. I'll likely check it out sometime this weekend. Also, the IHR is on hiatus for a while. Don't know when it will be back.
