It's bad enough that Rex is apparently our QB for some reason, but he came into camp out of shape, and now he's making ridiculous claims. On the bright side our O-Line will probably suck as usual and he'll throw a lot of bad interceptions, so whoever else we have at QB may get some ample playing time.

Patriots signed LG Logan Mankins to a new six-year contract. A year ago this seemed impossible. Outstanding work by both sides

Does the Eagles' offseason spending spree remind anybody of Daniel Snyder and the Redskins, when they always made these splashy signings?

Does the Eagles' offseason spending spree remind anybody of Daniel Snyder and the Redskins, when they always made these splashy signings? I keep hearing that, but it doesn't remind me of it. Half of Washington's signings either weren't even needs, or were used-to-bes and could-have-beens. Every move the Eagles have made addressed a need, or added depth. The core of the team was the same already. It seems like a lazy comparison the media is immediately going to.

Ahh NFL preseason. The grass is freshly cut, the footballs yet to be dirtied, uniforms finely cleaned. That magical 4 weeks with football played by alot guys you may have never heard of.

Man the Giants have been abysmal this offseason. They let Steve Smith walk to the Eagles and Kevin Boss walk to the Raiders.
Those were two of Eli's most clutch receivers (well, Boss is a TE but you get the idea). At this rate 7-9 is optimistic for this year.
I'm surprised and infuriated by the passivity of the organization. I have no idea WTF Jerry Reese is doing.

I get Smith is dealing with an injury, but why would the Giants let a solid receiver walk like that? Have they even done anything this offseason?

Tomorrow it begins! So looking at the schedule the preseason kicks off with the Jags vs. the Pats and the Ravens vs. the Iggles, after those two games we have Seattle vs. San Diego, Denver vs. Dallas, and finally Arizona vs. Oakland to end the day. I can't believe it, but this is honestly the most excited I've ever been for the preseason.

I wish I could've saved this replay from the Madden '12 demo of Clay Matthews DESTROYING Jay Cutler. I managed to capture it from the perfect angle and it was just beautiful. In the shot, all you see one second is Cutler looking to throw; the next, Clay Matthews just comes from nowhere & spears him Goldberg-style. He seperated Cutler from the ball & his senses. Naturally, Cutler turns it over & it becomes a safety. Very true to life.

Former Bengals TE Reggie Kelly has decided to retire from football.
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Eagles doctors believe Steve Smith (knee) could be ready to play by mid-October.
