Does the Eagles' offseason spending spree remind anybody of Daniel Snyder and the Redskins, when they always made these splashy signings? Yes and no. The Redskins were always trying to turnaround a 6-10 team with a bunch of off-season moves. The Eagles are actually adding a lot to a already good team. They took the Super Bowl champs to the limit in a wild card game and it was likely that had the Eagles won that game they would have made it to the SB. So yeah its a lot like the Skins moves but if a better team with a better coach did them.

First preseason games are today, so I'll take this time to remind everyone playing the bingo game that the spots don't get marked during preseason, and that the spaces can be changed up until 24 hours before the first regular season game, whether the case be injuries, roster changes, or just for the heck of it.

Chiefs signed OT Jared Gaither, formerly of the Ravens.
Chiefs continue to pillage from the Ravens.

The only reason that Packer-Eagles game was close was because the Packers shot themselves in the foot multiple times. James Jones holds on to that pass, it's a TD and the blowout is on.

Does the Eagles' offseason spending spree remind anybody of Daniel Snyder and the Redskins, when they always made these splashy signings? No, as MGH pointing out, the Eagles are signing for talent and need, as a Skins fan I can tell you that we signed for name. Let's look at some of these deals. Deion Sanders 7 years $56 million. Plays one season, avg. 7.4 yards a return on special teams, 4 ints Mark Carrier: Decent free safety, 5 years, $15 million, plays one season. Bruce Smith: 5 years, $23 million, actually played decent in Washington over 4 seasons. BTW: that's just from 2000. Let's keep going a little Adam Archuleta: Star for Rams, 5 years, $35 million in 2006. Gets relegated to Special teams, released after 1 year. Brandon Lloyd: 7 years, $35 million, plays 2 seasons catching 25 passes, last season leads NFL in receiving Jeff George: 4 years $18 million, starts 8 games for the Redskins and finally Albert Hanyesworth: 7 years, $100 million, $41 million guaranteed. in two season he record 53 tackles and 6.5 sacks Let's face it, Washington is where old men come to get paid and young talent goes to die.

Well looking at the TV schedule, and I only have two of tonight's 5 games listed as being televised. Denver @ Dallas and Seattle @ San Diego.
No big deal. At least I still get to see the games.
So now, I have to ask.....

Decent drive for the Broncos until we got to the one. For some reason we gave up the run which got us there for 3 straight passes.
