A 3rd Mortal Kombat movie. Years before that 7 minute teaser we got last year. First time I read about it was 2002 or so. It went through development hell and never materialized. Heck, it's STILL listed. www.imdb.com/title/tt0293429/

Oh, let's see, what are some of the rumors I remember -
A Fantastic Four movie (before the 2005 one) that was actually supposed to be set in the 1960's.
A fourth Austin Powers movie that was supposed to feature Elizabeth Hurley, Heather Graham and Beyonce all returning to get revenge on Austin for abandoning them.
A Namor movie starring the Rock.
A Silver Surfer movie starring Vin Diesel.

I vagurley remember seeing a pirated version of Fantastic Four when it came out in 2005 that was utterly horrible and nothing at all like the movie that was actually released.

Looks like this 'Rome' movie (The one based on the HBO TV series of the same name) I heard talk about a couple of years ago was just rumor.
Shame really. Thought the TV series was great.

There was a horrendously bad Fantastic Four movie made because the studio legally pretty much had to, but I don't think they ever planned to release it. They just didn't want to default the movie rights.

That god awful Superman that was to star Nick Cage. Also apparently attached to it at certain points: Ashton Kutcher, Will Smith, and Sean Penn in the title role. Plus allegedly while Tim Burton was working on it, he wanted a more smark-aleckey Jimmy Olsen played by Chris Rock.

Trish Stratus as Sonya Blade in the "next" Mortal Kombat movie
The Undertaker in Phantasm 5 along with Bruce Campbell (Them working with Reggie = awesome).
Tremors 5. Apparently, the script was wrote and purchased, but there are absolutely no plans to ever shoot it. How nice. There was also a fan film called Tremors: "The Thunder Down Under" but I believe it got shut down due to lack of funds and the fact that the copyright owner cracked down on them for trying to sell merchandise with the Tremors name and monster likeness.

The Search for Mickey Mouse:
Long story short, Mickey Mouse is kidnapped and Minnie hires Basil of Baker Street to find him. Aladdin and Peter Pan were to be among the other main characters with at least one character from every movie made at the time making a cameo. That reason was pretty much what got the movie cancelled as they had trouble making a script. I guess the idea though kinda turned into "House of Mouse."

This makes me overwhelming sad. Outside of The Dark Knight Trilogy, the Tremors series is my favorite series ever. As for me, I remember about 5-7 years ago hearing about a Good Omens movies, starring Robin Williams and Johnny Depp as Aziraphale and Crowley respectively. God, I wish they had made that movie.

And it would have been hell for them trying to justify the obvious size difference between Basil and Minnie, who are both mice.

Ghostbusters 3. I remember hearing a lot a while ago but nothing seemed to come of it I'm pretty sure it's still in production. There was a casting call for extras in Chicago not too long ago.

I vagurley remember seeing a pirated version of Fantastic Four when it came out in 2005 that was utterly horrible and nothing at all like the movie that was actually released. You're thinking of the incredibly bad 1994 Fantastic Four movie made by Roger Corman. As the poster above me said, it was never meant to be released in theaters. It was made on a shoestringed budget in a month just so the studio wouldn't lose the rights to make a real Fantastic Four movie. Here's more details on it - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastic_Four_(Roger_Corman)The proposed Fantastic Four move I'm talking about would've been made instead of the 2005 version. It would've taken place entirely in the 1960's, similar to how X-Men: First Class was. But the relative failures of Daredevil and The Hulk made everybody decide against something that experimental and did a more traditional modern era F4 movie instead. It was also considered a "failure".
