Anyways, going to see some CHIKARA guys tomorrow at the RCW show in Maryland. The co-main event is newfound internet celebrities, The Osirian Portal vs. Incoherence. Also wrestling is Jigsaw, Pinkie, and I read that Sara's going to be there.

I've ordered Reality Is Relative and Chikarasaurus Rex. I'm pretty excited for them. Both looked like good shows. The new pricing makes it a lot easier on the budget too.

Well, since they plan on making a singles title, it's a good idea to put more emphasis on the singles competition until they finally crown their champ, more so on a promotion where singles matches are meaningless if you are over 25.

Also, if they organize a tournament and Sara Del Rey is not in it, i will riot.

As featured as the first thing you see on the 1/23 DVD.

Actually, I can tell you that the DVD's have seen a minor upgrade. They've changed the bumper for each match again (where it tells you what match is next), where it now features a picture of the wrestler in said match.

Oh yeah, they finally got a new promo banner. ;D

And i'm not sure on if it'll stay like this, but the DVD menus are different as well. Somehow, in keeping with the G.I. Joe theme as with this show, they have the actual theme song playing with footage from the old cartoon.

Well, at least he only trots it out for King of Trios then goes right back to....whatever he's doing in ROH.

I'd say upper-card, but he's not really doing anything right now, to be honest.

Here's the thing, I will fully admit this is my personal preference, and I seem to be the freak here, but outside of his first appearance, the first time I ever saw him, I've NEVER found the whole "Matt Classic" routine funny.

I'm just sad that it means the Throwbacks are pretty much going down in the first round.

Anyhoo, here's a mini review of Chaos in the Sea of Lost Souls;

- Friskey is correct, the CHIKARA Home Video tag of Quack stretching El Oriental is finally gone. I'll *sniff* I'll kinda miss it....
- But Friskey is also wrong; they're playing the GI Joe movie outro, not the GI Joe theme. Way to GO, Friskey...
- Anyhoo, matches time. Jonathon Gresham now has a falcon themed mask and is known, I guess, as Hieracon from here on out. He's a really good addition to the Portal, and if this finally takes them past the first round at Trios, more power to 'em.
This was also the first time I've gotten to see Gargano in action as part of FIST, and I gotta hand it to him; he's no Akuma, but he's not doing so bad. All in all, a good opener.
- Eagles vs. Haze was a good women's wrestling match. I am not a good judge of women's matches, since I don't watch them very often, but I liked it. Hoping to see more Eagles this year. I would also like an all ladies team in King of Trios this year.
- The Throwbacks vs. the Roughnecks was awesome, and this feud is quickly becoming my favorite part of CHIKARA right now. Good stuff here.
- Kodama and Obariyon are a pretty good team...and that's kind of all I've got to say about this match.
- Kingston vs. Generico was good. Really good. Its another in a line of Kingston taking on top indy stars, and told a pretty good story of Kingston not wanting to clown around with Generico, and Generico realizing he's going to have to fight back to survive the match.
- I really liked the main event, and I'm going to say something really surprising; I won't be too surprised if Tim Donst has a solid shot at winning the new singles belt that's coming up. He's seriously coming into his own as a rudo, and was already a solid worker to begin with.
Anyway, as for the match, standard atomicos match with cool moves and fun spots.

Awesome season premier, and y'all need to buy the show for the GI Joe home menu alone.

My mistake, I didn't know they were doing 9 matches. Other than that, Yay! Awesome trios match and that means Green Ant's off the shelf.
