ROH on HDNet Thread 01/03/11: A King's Homicide

It's a new year, and I'm starting a new thing here... threads for ROH on HDNet! With the new year, comes a new set of tapings, and for the first time since the programme began, the action comes from somewhere other than the Arena in Philadelphia - it's from the Davis Arena in Louisville, the home of OVW.

In tonight's main event, a man with championship aspirations takes on one of ROH's current champions, as former ROH World Champion Homicide goes one on one with one half of the ROH Tag Team Champions, one half of the Kings of Wrestling, Claudio Castagnoli. Will the Notorious 187 gun down another victim, or will this King Reign Supreme?

The ROH TV Title is on the line tonight, as Eddie Edwards defends the title against one half of the Briscoe Brothers, Mark Briscoe. Will the hunt continue for the American Wolf, or will the TV Title man up?

Tonight also witnesses the ROH on HDNet debut of Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team, as former WWE Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin take on The Bravado Brothers. Will it be an easy entry into regular ROH competition for WGTT, or will Harlem and Lance cause a major upset?

And in the other match of the night, Grizzly Redwood is in action against the former Spirit Squad member Mike Mondo.

Rough first match, never seemed to get out of first gear.

Love the look of the Davis Arena, the lighting is much better than the Arena.

Match wasn't bad. Nothing amazing but, a good show of what WGTT can do.

Tonight was the first time I've seen ROH on HDnet (I didn't think I got the channel) in a long time. The show was great, and I really enjoyed the Claudio Castagnoli vs. Homicide match.
