Question for any UK collectors out there, where do you tend to find the best deals on? Been looking to add to my pathetic collection for a while now and I can never seem to find really good deals. I only have Survivor Series 03, Royal Rumble 91 and 92 on tagged classics, No Mercy 05, The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior, and I also have Summerslam 90, the DX Documentary, Wrestlemania 19 and Armageddon 99 on VHS. Silver Vision is pretty good when it comes to prices. They're cheaper online than they are at the shops. And it's pretty much the only place where I can actually get wrestling DVDs from. ASDA sell them once in a blue moon and HMV has a wrestling section but you're lucky if you get a DVD past 2007 and I hear they're shutting down anyway

Also, there's always some bargains on Amazon Marketplace. For a bricks-and-mortar store, if you have a CeX shop near you they have good deals sometimes. Also try the ghetto used goods shops like Cash Converters and used record shops, they usually don't know how to price wrestling and I've found rare-ass DVDs for like £1 each now and again. There is some douche on the US Ebay site selling Tagged Classics. But he is only selling one disc of a set. For FORTY friggin dollars each, for ONE disc. Some of them are FIFTY dollars. So you only get one disc, and it comes in like a jewel case I would guess, and you have to pay 40 or 50 bucks for it. Hopefully this shows up correctly, so you guys can see yourself. dvd.shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=wwe+tagged+classics&_sacat=11232If that link doesn't work, the name of the account selling them is kingpinkollectibles. Obviously he's trying take advantage of American fans that don't know any better. Just unbelievable!

Does the Macho Man DVD come reccomended? I have zero interest in his WCW years but After watching a lot of Randy Savage in lesser quality over the years I am sorely tempted to pick this up and experience his matches in better quality, plus those extras on Disc 3 look amazing. They're the kind of extras the Ultimate Warrior disc needed It's an awesome set. I just really wish it had a documentary feature attached. Maybe with Macho making appearances on WWE products will lead us to a proper retrospective view at his career.

I would be all over an additional Macho set with a proper documentary and unreleased matches (like Hogan's third set). I would kill to see the Bret/Savage match from Japan in 1994 in good quality.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned or not but on this day I saw clearly that Wal Mart had Edge's Decade of Decadence DVD for $5 (The DVD itself was still marked for $13.00, but the row in the aisle was marked $5 and it rang up as such). I kind of have abysmally low expectations for this, as I imagine I'll have seen most of the matches by the time I finish the 02-09 PPVs, but figured it was worth it for the extras. Picked it up the other day, and was ecstatic. I'd keep an eye on the Randy Savage DVD, it may be next.

OK, sounds like the 15th Anniversary of RAW then. Not BAD, but I wish they were doing season sets. WWE DVD News also mentioned JR doing recordings for a Million Dollar Man and Gorgeous George DVD. Now, DiBiase, I'm HYPED for since I love the guy. But Gorgeous George? Hate to sound cynical, but given how poorly Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham sold, how do we know this will do any better? I'm looking forward to great old school material, but not expecting this to sell well at ALL.

A Gorgeous George DVD sitting on a store shelf might as well say 2 Girls 1 Cup on it, because thats about how good it would sell. This is why WWE needs to take my idea of selling limited edition online exclusive DVD's of guys who aren't strong enough names to pull off a retail release with, yet still deserve a set. There are guys who have already gotten sets that probably just have been sold directly by WWE. My idea benefits everyone. Collectors have something to chase after, these are limited editions after all. And by limited I mean only having between 10 and 15 thousand of them. 7,500 at the bare minumum. WWE makes a pure profit on these selling these directly, plus they cost nearly nothing to make. The wrestlers profiled get to see their careers immortalized, and have a chance to make new fans. Its a 3 way win for everybody, they really need to do this instead of releasing a Gorgeous George DVD that will simply sit on a shelf collecting dust. A clearance shelf no less.

Ali doesn't talk much these days as his Parkinson's advances, so any chance of getting him to record anything would fall in the "very unlikely" category. What really tees me off about the Gorgeous George DVD is I WANT to see more wrestling from the 50s, 60s and early 70s, but I know virtually no one else does. I like the idea of an on-demand WWE system and Gorgeous George and frankly, the WCCW and Capitol Wrestling libraries would be great starts, but I know this is going to tank and the E will write it off as "Well, we tried. Never again." URGH!

Actually the more I think about it, that probably is the case.

Well I have picked up 2 more Tagged Classics sets.
In Your House: Final Four/In Your House: Canadian Stampede
and...
Wrestlemania 13/Wrestlemania 14
The means the only Wrestlemanias I need to still buy is the Tagged Classic set of 11/12. I am not looking forward to that day AT ALL, but getting them will give me all 26 on DVD/Blu Ray.
So my Tagged Classics lineup as of now is as follows. In chronological order by earliest event in each set.
- King of the Ring 93/94 - IYH: Final Four/Canadian Stampede - Wrestlemania 13/14 - No Way Out 2000/Backlash 2000 - Judgment Day 2000/Fully Loaded 2000 - Unforgiven 2000/No Mercy 2000 - Armageddon 2000/No Way Out 2001
Of course I'll probably get more lol.

Weirdly, at one of my Wal-Marts, I tried to get Edge's Decade of Decadence DVD for $5 with the DVD marked $5, but it rang up $13 when I checked out, so I put it back. I'll try the other Wal-Mart here or check out in the Electronics section next time. I did find The Spectacular Legacy of the AWA in the $5 dollar bin, though, and got that.

Well I went out "hunting" today, and I picked up a couple good sets. Mick Foley: Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops for 7.49, and Triple H: That Damn Good for 10.99, I picked up a few other PPV DVD's too but thats not what I am excited about. I may be very soon getting my hands on one of the rarest wrestling VHS tapes ever, and if I am lucky, I won't have to pay very much for it. I happened to see it in this store that doesn't sell their VHS wrestling tapes, just rents them, but if I play my cards right I may end up with something so rare it will blow your f'n minds! What is it you ask? Well its this.... Behold! {Spoiler} Bash at the Beach mother***** 2000! This would be my greatest victory yet! And it will take alot of work I'm sure.

And WWE DVD News ( www.wwedvdnews.com/2011-wwe-dvd-release-dates/9140/) has a current 2011 DVD schedule up. I'll just discuss the non-PPVs with any thoughts. Big Show: A Giant's World - Feb 22. Now that we know the listings, I'm interested, if not running right out the door to grab it. Should be fun if nothing else. Royal Rumble 2011 - March 1 True Story of Wrestlemania - March 15. If this is as advertised, this is buy-on-release-date for me. I'm a sucker for the history aspect of 'Mania and seeing some behind the scenes stuff and extras would be awesome. Elimination Chamber 2011 - March 22 D-Generation X: One Last Stand - April 5. It really depends on content for me. I still want the Chef Hickenbottom bit, which I don't think is on DVD yet, so that may be my hook. But to be honest, how big a deal was DX in their last year? We'll see. Wrestlemania XXVII - May 10 The Best of Nitro - May 24. Well, of course. I was on board for this when it was still season sets (please still be coming, please still be coming), but with highlights and hosted by DDP, this should be a lot of fun. Extreme Rules 2011 - May 31. DVD TBA - June 7. Open to speculation on this one, but if I were guessing... either a Gorgeous George DVD (assuming the stuff isn't for WWE On Demand) or the hoped for Goldust DVD. We shall see. Over the Limit 2011 - June 21. Ted DiBiase: The Million Dollar Man - June 28. Oh hell yes and, if funds are good, a day of release by for me. I love DiBiase and would love to see a good doc on his career and a decent match retrospective. Only concern is I may have all his good stuff by now, so the concern about double dips exists. We'll see. Best Cage Matches - July 12. I'm interested given a.) the PG era and b.) the fact that they did Bloodbath some years ago what could be on here. I'd LOVE to see the Hogan/Boss Man cage match from MSG on DVD, but given Hogan is on the outs and Boss Man blades, it's not too likely. Need to see the matches before I commit. Fatal Four Way 2011 - July 19. Money in the Bank 2011 - August 16. RAW: The Best of Seasons 3 & 4 - August 23. This would be 1995 and 1996 I believe. Well, here's the problem with this - Owen. Owen has a rising role here with his feud with HBK and his tagging with Yoko. Depends on the lawsuit I guess. Other than that, I'm willing to give this a shot. SummerSlam 2011 - Sept. 13. The Randy Orton Experience - Sept. 20. This I am really interested in since Orton has really grown on me and I'd love to see the match selection. Hopefully some OVW stuff as well as early pre-Evolution Orton. Shame his World title win can't be included because of Benoit. Smackdown: The Best of 2010-2011 - Oct. 11. Well, we'll have to see how 2011 pans out. Get the match listing and we'll talk. Night of Champions 2011 - Oct. 18. Hell in a Cell 2011 - Nov. 1 Triple H DVD - Nov. 8. Depends on what is talked about and shown I suppose. I like Triple H, but a lot of his career has been covered by now. Now, a fuller doc talking about his life and showing Steph and the kids might be fun, seeing that side of Aytch. Intested anyway. Bragging Rights 2011 - Nov. 22 50 Biggest Matches in WWE History - Nov. 29. Oy. Given how subjective the top 50 Superstars were, I'm not optimistic. Of course, we should have Savage/Steamboat, HBK/Hart Iron Man etc. included, but it'll be interesting to see the list. Austin/Rock: The Rivalry - Dec. 13. Goodie. Seriously, I'm excited about this since this is a LONG feud if you include the stuff going back to the IC title feud after Survivor Series. The one wish for inclusion (which it WON'T because of right issues) is the Limp Bizkit video build for WM X-7. I'll check it out for sure. Survivor Series 2011 - Dec. 20. Best PPV Matches of 2011 - Dec. 27. And discuss!

Nice score on BATB2000. I recently caught the show on Justin.TV and boy does it blow. But I'd be excited to own it. Wasn't that one the last WCW PPV to be released on home video or something? Question: is it me or has shelf space for pro wrestling DVDs really been reduced? Used to have at least a small section at my local Wally World, now down to four shelves and that's it. It's hard to even find some of the DVDs after a month or so and, like it or not, I have to vote with my wallet when I can afford to get the goodies. I've been complaining about this for roughly a month now. Wal-Mart hardly has any WWE DVDs anymore, or at least doesn't stock them on release day anymore. Best Buy has maybe 4-5 WWE DVDs in stock. I never look anywhere else. And to keep this post related to the thread... scored the last copy of TLC 2010 the other day at Wal-Mart. Just need to snag Night of Champions and I'll have all the PPVs from 2010. Strongly considering getting WM18 from Amazon...

Well I just took advantage of this, and I'm kind of ashamed of myself. Here is what I got. Lets just get this out of the way. The 4 sets of Silly Bandz cost me 8.97, now that we are done there, lets get down to business. Here is the haul. -Survivor Series 05 -No Mercy 04 -Backlash 09 -Judgment Day 05 -The Stone Cold Truth -Judgment Day 03 -Taboo Tuesday 05 -No Way Out 07 -Survivor Series 08 -Night of Champions 08 -No Way Out 08 -Royal Rumble 08 -Armageddon 07 -No Mercy 07 -The Great American Bash 07 -Vengeance 07 -Backlash 07 -Royal Rumble 07 -Cyber Sunday 06 -Unforgiven 06 -No Mercy 2005 -Summerslam 05 -Vengeance 05 -The Great American Bash 04 -The Best of WWE Confidential So I got free shipping on all these, plus 30% off. The Silly Bandz cost me 8.97, and the tax was 3.94. So my grand total for all of this, with Silly Bandz, and tax included was..... {Spoiler} $60.16, basically 2.40 per DVD! And I think I have been abusing the spoiler tag too much lately lol. Take advantage if you can guys, the stupid silly bandz are worth it. They even have some copies of Summerslam 01 available. Its as good a time as any to stock up on some older DVD's on the cheap.

As far as blading and Owen go. Both occur on raw seasons 1 and 2, so hopefully neither matter for future planned releases
