As long as we continue getting the Raw prior to the event, I'm good without any extras. The interviews and stuff they've included in previous discs are pretty much wastes of space.
I'd love if they started putting the SD episodes back on the events, but it seems like they've stopped doing that. Hopefully they'll continue doing it for the WrestleMania sets, at least.

Well since it's a major PPV it should have better extras than something like TLC.

I'm watching Backlash 06 for the first time, I had forgotten how cheesy and over the top the Mr. McMahon character had gotten by this point. Alot of these DVD's I've ordered will be the first time I see these shows.
From 2003 to 2009 I didn't really watch too many PPV's besides the big ones like the Rumble and Wrestlemania.
I still watched the shows so I knew what was going on, but never bothered watching the PPV's. I bought a bunch of DVD's in that time frame but they were mostly Docs and Comps. So thats an added benefit of this collecting kick I'm on, to get to see some of this stuff finally.

According to Silvervision.co.uk, the 2-disc Blu-Ray edition of Royal Rumble 2011...
Bonus Features Includes both the Raw and SmackDown shows from the week before the Royal Rumble so you can see how events unfold leading up to the PPV
So I'm guessing your DVD/BluRay combo pack will have those at least.

Wish they would go back to putting both on there again and not just RAW. SmackDown matters too ya know.

There still could be, but I doubt it. And behind the scenes of EVERY Wrestlemania? This set can't come out soon enough. I mean they showed Heenan rehearsing his camel ride for crying out loud!

My Survivor Series 2008 DVD showed up today. And this might be a nitpicky thing. But I hate those little clamps on the sides on some DVD cases. You go to open the case, trying to pull it open, and then you remember you gotta unsnap the little clamps. Just pisses me off. I tear them off now.

Clamps Don't think they exist this side of the pond. It's worth buying that WM set just to see Vince do Shawn's zipwire entrance from WM12. ;D

Anybody know if the Rumble BR/DVD combo pack has the same extras as the regular BR and DVD? I'm probably going to convert to BR by the end of the year and might as well start my WWE collection.

I was in Walmart earlier today and noticed a copy of the AWA dvd that WWE produced in the $5 bin.
Might be old news but first I'd seen in being in there so I thought I'd mention it.
The Walmart closest to me used to be good/decent when it comes to wrestling/mma dvds but lately they suck. Get in a few copies..sell out...never ever restock.

The Walmart closest to me used to be good/decent when it comes to wrestling/mma dvds but lately they suck. Get in a few copies..sell out...never ever restock. WWE DVD's don't get made in super mass quantities. The demand for most of the PPV 's is pretty low to begin with. So Walmart will get their 20 copies of say Night of Champions, and the hardcores snatch them up quick and thats that. They'll get more copies of some of the bigger DVD releases, but those don't get made in super large numbers either. They'd just sit there collecting dust if they made too many. If you find one in a bargain bin, it more than likely was a dud or they found some stashed away in warehouse and are clearing them out.

Ditto on the Mania doc. Spread over three discs, this has the potential to be a REALLY amazing set. Chances are the last two discs will be matches, but I'm not complaining much.
Now, the $64 thousand question: how do you deal with Wrestlemania XX?

Now, the $64 thousand question: how do you deal with Wrestlemania XX? Well they do say behind the scenes of EVERY Wrestlemania. I imagine WM XX will have alot of discussion on the Lesnar/Goldberg debacle, maybe some insight on The Rock's last match. They'll get around Benoit one way or another. Then again, maybe they will talk about it. Unlikely as hell though. Honestly the story I wanna know most about is Wrestlemania 2, and how they dealt with the logistical nightmare of 3 locations in 3 time zones.
