Could you see the WWE giving us the Mike Tyson ending at this year's WrestleMania ?
If you recall, in 1998, the WWE was teasing a feud between Tyson/Austin. Due to some legal issues with his boxing suspension, he could not officially wrestle. At the end of Mania, Tyson and Austin were on the same side.
Now we have the Rock/Cena feud, which is overshadowing the Cena/Miz match. I could see the WWE pulling a swerve on us to where at the end of the match, you have Cena and Rock embracing each other in the middle of ring.

But Rock isn't buddying up with Miz. So there is very little similar and nothing to "swerve" about. Though naturally by the end of the feud Cena/Rock should respect each other.

The only way I see the Rock stepping back into the ring is in a good gesture to Vince McMahon. Rock has made so much money off movies to where he never needs a wrestling payday.
To be honest, Rock would be nothing without Vince. If you read he autobiography, you know that he wasn't never going to make it as a football star. He was flunking out of college. His dad contacted Vince and Pat to get him trained and the rest is history.

I definitely figure it'll be the same type of ending, Cena and Rock stand tall as best buddies and Miz probably catches a People's Elbow somewhere in there and we all die a little inside.

On the other hand this section of the board would probably be the WCW (nWo era thru current) if it weren't for Rock and Austin.

but why would The Rock get involved with Edge vs. Del Rio?

It wouldn't be the same as the Austin/HBK/Tyson angle because The Rock isn't aligned with The Miz going into Mania.
I really really really DON'T want to see Wrestlemania end with Cena and The Rock embracing. The only way I want to see the two of them embrace is if it's after a match.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Rocky is just here for the build and Wrestlemania itself, and once it's over he may appear the next night on Raw. Therefore, there would be no need to continue with Cena/Rock shenanigans which may never have a payoff, so Rock and Cena will stand tall at the end of the show.

but why would The Rock get involved with Edge vs. Del Rio? Del Rio's insisting "You know who I am!" to Rock after a "It doesn't MATTER who you are" would be such a dickish heel move.

well, we know that despite Rock's claims he is leaving again. We know the GM says he'll deal with Rock when the time is right. We know Cena and Rock are having a war of words and Rock has implied a threat to Cena.
In what seems to be an unrelated note we know Cole gets to choose the ref for his match with Lawler.
So I figure Cole chooses the anonymous GM for the ref, and is shocked when it's Austin.
then during the main event Rock interferes to screw Cena not help Miz.
Austin comes out gives Rock the Stunner, then counts the pin on Miz and raises Cena's hand.
The next night Rock berates the fans for cheering Austin attacking him and uses it as his excuse to leave again.

I really don't think he'll stick around as a permanent figure or anything, but popping in once in a while doesn't seem to be out of the question. Cole picking the GM would be very very random considering his hints on Smackdown included calling the guest referee "flamboyant" "simply awesome" and "one of the best the WWE has ever seen".

Fact still remain we'd be hearing how Cena storms on us cats like he's thunder and lightning while celebrating winning his tenth world title. And for that matter his fourth won at WrestleMania.

Yeah, people have been predicting that ending just minutes after the Rock finished his promo on the night of his return.
