Wait, there's a new improv show with Carey, Stiles and Colin?! YAY! What? I'll give you a cookie for the link that has that news. ;D The last paragraph of the link on the OP!

Mr. T is probalby one I could live with but I still don't think he belongs. Does baseball ever induct people who throw out the first pitch? If Cooperstown starts this, they should begin with this guy:

Eh, it'll get 'em a mention on The Price is Right, and probably by extension entertainment programs etc; easy to see why they made the choice.
I'm fine with it.
Andy Kaufman deserves to go in the celeb wing more than anyone, and yeah I'm including Mr. T in that. Don't care that he never worked for the 'E, that criteria ( such that there ever was any for a made up HoF.. cuz again, it's made up) has long been thrown out the window; and Kaufman was in one of the biggest media crossover angles EVER.

I think he brought up the fact that Pete Rose couldn't get into his own (baseball) HOF but he could the WWE.

This rivals James Dudley as worst induction ever. Actually, this is probably the worst one ever.
5 minutes of standing in a Royal Rumble is HOF?

I wonder if Raven will get a mention, as he saved Drew Carey's life. Anyway, obviously Andy Kaufman, Muhammad Ali, Cindy Lauper, Mr. T and probably some other celebrities who actually did things with the company, they should probably go in. Hey, if I become a celebrity and do something with WWE, maybe I could be inducted.

Drew Carey? Jesus Christ, Vince. I don't mind there being a celebrity wing but there shouldn't be an induction every year and even if it wasn't every year, then Drew Carey is way down the list. I know there are some issues with Mr.T going in but Cyndi Lauper? Andy Kaufman? Donald Trump?

Now I would totally agree with Kaufman being in there. The guy pulled off one of the best wrestling angles ever that worked everyone for years. There are still people to this day that haven't seen man on the moon and still think it was real.

I agree with Kaufmann, but I really think the issue is there is no one really to accept for him.

What about Lawler? He finally admitted it was a work, so he won't have to worry about protecting kayfabe anymore.

I'm really looking forward to this.
How will they do a montage? He done the equivalent of nothing! Throws money at Kane, eliminates himself and then what?

To ME personally, in terms of Celebrity involvement status, I think Carey's involvement in the 2001 Rumble, (which I've seen be praised numerous times), is more relevant and deserving than Perry at WM2.

So who'll be inducting him? Kane? Kathy Kinney? Ryan Stiles?HHH? And does anyone see the irony in that the wwe, who has a contract with NBC/Universal, is inducting a star from the CBS network? (and having another star from a viacom-owned network host raw tonight as well with snooki)

Terrible. Drew Carey? ? For a short, random appearance that wasted time at the Royal Rumble? Pete Rose made an appearance at three WrestleManias. THe Fridge's appearance at WM2 was big press since he was a big star at the time. Drew Carey's spot in the Rumble has barely been mentioned since. This is lousy. Cyndi Lauper, Mr T, Kaufman, Ali, hell...even a posthumous induction to Liberace would have been better. I guess next year, Herb from Burger King is going in.

Speaking as a Drew Carey fan and someone who immensely enjoyed his '01 Rumble appearance, this is stupid as all hell. No way does Drew Carey deserve to be in the WWE Hall of Fame.
