I am very happy about Abdullah being inducted in the Hall of Fame.

New Jack said he was a huge asshole who wouldn't give out a free meal at his restaurant to the boys.
Can someone point me to some good Abdullah promos or matches? Because I don't see the hype.

So I'd assume the last inductees will be LOD in Chicago?

Probably worth considering the source of that quote, though ;D In the interviews I've seen with Abby, he's always come across as a decent, respectful guy. Good luck finding a promo - he barely spoke in character. But his matches from Japan with Terry Funk, and his matches with The Original Sheik are worth seeking out.

He certainty has all the battle scars to showoff the countless dues he paid to the business of wrestling. A true icon.

New Jack said he was a huge asshole who wouldn't give out a free meal at his restaurant to the boys. He doesn't do a damn thing unless he's getting paid for it. He's never hidden this fact. He's still considered a legend. Today's casual fans may not, but most older fans know who he is just by name.

Saw him a few years back in a match vs Necro Butcher. Fun match. A real hardcore pioneer.

He's been wrestling since the 1950s, and he's still around today. That, and like YAK MAN said, he's a pioneer of hardcore. Way before the days of Funk and Foley.

WHy has he never stepped foot in a WWE ring or been acknowledged by WWE until now? If he is that much of a legend, why has he never been acknowledged besides one action figure?
I would have thought that he could have been able to cameo at least during the hardcore days. I have a feeling he isn't very professional or trustworthy in the ring, which scared WWE away from EVER using him.

I have a feeling he isn't very professional or trustworthy in the ring, which scared WWE away from EVER using him. He never fit into WWE style, even in the Attitude days, his stuff would have never made TV. He is entirely too violent for WWE. Plus by then his best days were behind him and there is no way WWE would have looked at him.

So who else gets in this year? Butcher is a lock, but Ron Simmons maybe? Ron Simmons is the man, I hope he gets in this year. JBL would hafto induct him though, i can see no one else doing that but him. Teddy Long could induct him. He used to manage him.

What's awesome about that write pu is that they actually mention The Chamber Of Horrors match and mention he gets fried.
