People will chant anyway. They can't eject the entire crowd.

If anyone thinks an email warning is going to stop them from chanting whatever they want, then you have another thing coming.
As a matter of fact, I think the "warning" just made it worse.

I will admin, the "wonder why" opener was a little short sighted on my part.
I should have gone with my second choice of "Flair, you've been warned"

I would have assumed it was common sense to dress smartly for an event like this without any need for the WWE to remind or warn the people attending?
Also I would have thought people were smart enough to know the HOF Ceremony is not like a normal wrestling event and it would be blatantly obvious to any idiot that chants such as 'you suck' or just general booing would be out of order.

What kind of a-hole would do that, though? It would come off as incredibly douche-tastic to chant something just to spite the warning. The WWE doesn't have to sell tickets to the Hall Of Fame. It's a ceremony that could just as easily take place in front of the Honorees' peers, friends, family, and loved ones. It's a privilege for the fans to be there, really. Why abuse that privilege?

The chanting can be predictable anyway
"Thankyou Shawn"....."One More Match"....."HOOOOOOOO"....."HBK" etc...
Doubt anything offensive would be chanted.

I went last year and this guy a few seats overs was yelling out stuff, they warned him about it. He did it again and then security removed him. Then his friend started something and then he was gone too. I think they had a few drinks in them. So yes they take it serious and they were the only people I see get tossed.

It was about time, the last few HoF have been plagued with some of that stuff.
That said, I think some chants should be allowed-- the 'One More Match' thing when Hogan was inducted only added to it being cool in my opinion.

They should ban anyone not wearing a suit from coming in.
I know I would.

Now we're going to chant them anyways to prove our point; we paid for these tickets, we could say whatever the hell we want." Or something along those lines.

The more people you get together, the greater your chances of at least some of them act like immature, dimwitted f***tards just because they can.

You guys are right. There's always going to be one, or more, "dimwit f***tards" that want their voices heard because they paid for a ticket and think that gives them carte blanche to act out however they feel. Maybe, and I'm just throwing idea darts here, they should also employ some breathalyzers at the front door.

Not at the Hall of Fame. I see doing something douchey at an upscal event like the HoF ceremony is like trying to pick up chicks at a funeral. It's incredibly innapropriate and your embarassing not only yourself, but everyone else who came to actually celebrate the Legends. And besides, if they are going to enforce this by kicking people out, I'm pretty sure after the third or fourth tool who gets kicked out the audience will get smarter.

People will chant anyway. They can't eject the entire crowd. They can however make it so the they never do it infront of the public again. Nah, they would'nt go that far. They like to make the money from the gate + they wont want to downgrade the event by holding it in a small theatre. What would happen if the chants got out of hand was they'd make the policy even stricter. Mandatory dress code etc. It'd take something huge like fights breaking out for them to not allow the public in. Most of the crowds at this event are great. Ive been twice, and both times theres a few idiots who feel the need to get drunk before a freakin HOF ceremony. The crowd will also police themselves and sometimes thats even better than any event security.

Has anyone seen this "Newz" item? Apparently Abby is planning to go into business for himself at the HoF show.
"There’s a rumor going around that Abdullah the Butcher is planning his own angle for tonight’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, something outside of what WWE has planned. The report goes that Abdullah wants to keep his name out there and figures that WWE won’t ever use him again.
It’s being said that Abdullah’s inductor Terry Funk has agreed to help him with the angle."

Though it's not like there's much Abdullah could do in business that would hurt WWE. Could be something as simple as a new restaurant.
