With both on the same brand, how will they deal with this? Possibly a match this Sunday? Being announced on Sunday itself?

Unify them or have someone win one of the titles on the PPV or on the next Raw where SmackDown talent has been invited for Rock's birthday.

Either one ends up on Kofi(Raw) or they eventually unify them, having the champion being allowed on both brands.

I think they should unify them, but WWE has never really got behind the concept of defending titles on both shows. It seems like the titles still only get defended on one show and only seldom get defended on the other show.

WWE probably doesn't even realize that they have the IC Title and US Title on one show...

In reality they should probably kill off both titles. With two world champions having two backup champions is weak.

Unify the "big" titles, go back to the days when the champion was the only guy who'd be on both shows.
Having two midcard belts is fine, having two "world titles" is ridiculous.

^Nailed it
The WHC is such a lame belt right now, they just give it to a main eventer with nothing else to do, Undertaker, or some young guy they want to F with before cutting off his push.

Sheamus will probably lose the US title to Kofi at Extreme Rules.

Wasn't there a rumor they would do this at Wrestlemania? This would be smart to unify it to make the belt important again.

Unify the "big" titles, go back to the days when the champion was the only guy who'd be on both shows. Having two midcard belts is fine, having two "world titles" is ridiculous. This is the way it should be, at least in my opinion. There should be one world title. Champion floats between both shows, and the champ should virtually NEVER wrestle singles matches on free TV. At best, tag matches (preferably with the US/IC champ) to advance feuds. Title defenses on PPV only. Champs should only be people who are proven to be notable money draws and people who are ready to be "the face of the company", and not passed around like a prostitute to every midcarder you can find in a (usually failed) attempt at getting them over. Each show gets either the IC or US title as their brand-specific title. Keep TV title defenses down to a minimum, and they should always be the main events of the show. IC or US champ should not be losing on free TV unless it's to advance a major angle, and they should NEVER be jobbed out in random squash matches, which is becoming increasingly common lately. Champions should be people who are over with the crowd and are getting ready for a top level push. Giving the titles to lower-card wrestlers are fine if there is a set plan to use the title to elevate them, but should not be given for no notable reason. Similarly, forgettable title reigns with long times between noteworthy title defenses like we've seen with both midcard belts lately need to go as well. Move the tag titles back to one brand, while the Diva titles stay on the other. There's not enough tag teams or Divas that are over enough to keep floating the champs between both shows, and having one of them on each brand would give the shows at least some unique identity by providing something not available on the other shows.
