Bad wrestling attire, roided up and could not work in the ring at all a that point.
Very out of place too in WCW. Seemed more like a bad Attitude era mid card character.

I agree with most of the points listed here, but am I the only one who at least thought that his theme song from that time was awesome? "What up, Mach!!!!!!" "OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH, YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" DUNDUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUNDUN!!! Great Theme, i had it on the Mayhem CD at one stage.

If I recall correctly he disappeared after his match with Rodman. Then he showed up on the first Nitro written by Russo/Ferrara in October 1999 and cut a promo about how he's hung (yes, seriously) and said he'd find a protege to mentor. Than he didn't show up again until coming out of a limo to join the Millionaire's Club in spring 2000. yeah i always wonder what happen to that protege he had that was suppose to be the next big thing of the future.

And of course during all this, as many have mentioned, WWF RAW was red stinkin hot! I remember fliping to Nitro and watched the segment featuring Nash filling up the Team madness limo full of raw sewage and thinking to myself how awesome it would be to see Stone Cold do that to Mr. McMahon...

Me too. Anybody know why Macho Man's appearances after the Rodman match were so sporadic?

I still remember a short lived angle in which he would try to run for office, probably a knock-off of Hogan's run for office angle. Anyway, I still can't get over the idea of him being with someone young enough to be his daughter at the time, though I did have a major crush on Gorgeous George. She was pretty hot.

The only positive that came out of this mess was it was during this phase of his career that I went to a brutal double-taping of Thunder. One of the only reasons I went was to finally see one of my all-time favorites live. Mission accomplished!

You know, I remembered something. I remember during the time Savage was around, he was involved in that angle with Kevin Nash. I think Gorgeous George was kidnapped and at the end of Thunder, they came to deliver her, only for it to be Torrie Wilson. Where on earth were those scenes shot? It looked like the set of a B-movie.

Does anybody remember one of his last appearances in WCW? It was I think Fall of 99 and him and Gorgeous George came out and they both wore some glittery red outfits and I think it was the time when he was talking about having an apprentice but I am not sure. I still remember the first look we had of this version of Savage was the night after Starrcade 1998. He ran in (Randomly) during the Flair/Bischoff match and attacked Giant. He an nWo shirt but then took it off. I still wonder if at that point, he was still technically a Wolfpac member but he hadn't been seen since the night after GAB of that year by that point.

I remember that. It was supposedly all Vince Russo's idea. Savage was not under any contract with WCW at the time and nobody in WCW creative had any plans on who his "apprentice" should be. Russo was just so positive that Savage would re-sign with the company after Russo was done "fixing" it that he came up with the angle just to get Savage on TV and give everybody a "surprise" to bump the ratings. I don't remember exactly how well that segment did, but it obviously didn't help anything in the long run.

To be fair Savage was a woman beating heel in the WWE too (at least implied).
