Specifically, segments that involve cake, weddings and contract signings. (Are there any other situations?)
Have there been instances in the WWE where these things actually pushed through peacefully?

Two that come to mind straightaway are
-Being in a feud with The Undertaker and willingly bringing a casket into the ring for a promo.
-Bringing along a giant picture of yourself to the ring, odds are your head is being put through it.

Going to the top rope during the Royal Rumble.
Not making absolutely sure someone's been eliminated during the Royal Rumble.

Being in a feud with Undertaker from 2004-present. He's ALWAYS going to beat them in decisive fashion.

Anytime there's a table ALREADY set up in the ring. You just know someone's going through it.

When you're a heavyweight champion and the Money in the Bank winner hasn't cashed in yet; particularly after a match, an injury or both.

Has there ever been a contract signing where somebody hasn't been A. Attacked B. Put through the contract table? That Edge/Del Rio contract signing handled it awesomely. There was this sort of self-awareness moment from both of them and from Teddy; it was completely quiet with them just staring at each other, then he just quietly left the ring before the fireworks went off.

I seriously felt this way after Kane won the TLC and then Triple H came out and said, "Katie VICK!" and then the show went off the air. I went from feeling that Kane was about to really get over and then felt it all deflated as soon as Hunter said that name. I didn't know WHAT would happen, but I figured it had to be some awful storyline involving someone Kane raped or murdered.
