He had name value and he worked hard, but I don't recall him being a bad or good wrestler. He was just "meh" to me.

I thought he was a solid worker but from what I understand he was carried in pretty much every match. At least in WWF.
As a wrestler overall I thought he was F'N awesome! I would LOVE to see him have one last run in WWE!

Was he going to put on a 5 star classic every night? No. But Sid was a solid big man and was great in his heel/monster role.
And let's not forget those AMAZING promo skills...

Sid had an awesome look. He was a decent big man wrestler. Not great, but not pathetic. Often unintentionally hilarious. It's a win-win-win.

I'm not sure there's ever been a 7+ feet wrestler with the wrestling ability of Benoit or Dynamite Kid. Sid fulfilled his purpose, I always appreciated him.

Sid remains, to this day, the one and only wrestler who got significantly over with a good portion of the audience whom I've NEVER understood the appeal of. At all.
He sucks. He sucks on every conceivable level. Even if you're just looking for a big, angry guy to wreck shit up, he's a third-rate Diesel at best.

I loved Sid, especially during his heel run up to WM 8. He demolished jobbers and chucked them around like they were rag dolls, and to this day, in my opinion, no one can pull off a textbook powerbomb as well as he could.
And his music in 1992 was quite simply brilliant. When that kicked in at the Hoosier Dome, and he walked down that aisle, he looked like he would finish Hogan for good. Add to that Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan's commentary in the build up to that match, and Sid was awesome.

Sid was fine for what he was: A big man who could do big man moves.
He was over like rover his entire career. That's a testiment to him. There are plenty of guys who wish they could say that

I was never a fan of Sid, he worked hard but he didn't bring anything to the table that really kept my attention. His promos were rough, and his character came off as more of a bonehead than the crazed ass kicker he tried to portray.

He had a great look, but that's about all I can say. He wasn't the worst guy I ever saw, but that doesn't mean he was good. I just never really dug the guy.

When I first saw him in WCW around 1989, he was booked perfectly. He was paired with Dan Spivey as the Skyscrapers and was basically squashing guys. His powerbomb was one of the best.

Sid had a strange charisma about him, and he never came across as evil. He tried damn hard to keep the Shockmaster debut on track, let's give him credit for that...

There are plenty of guys who wish they could say that Exactly.....I mean, he was OVER with the ECW crowd. What more can you say there....a lot of big hoss types from WCW/WWE (Perfect example....Batista) got torn up by those crowds......but Sid was over....over HUGE.

I would make love to his wrestling persona. No questions asked. It's one of those things that you understand what it is if you sit there and think about it, but you can't really figure out exactly why it works. It's like he's always one misstep away from completely losing his mind. He's funny, but he gets mad; often quickly and perhaps without proper provocation. He's focused, but he's sort of all over the place. Manic. Twitchy. Serious.

not great in the ring, cut weird promos, but no matter where he went he was over. You also don't hear many people complain about working with Sid either.

His punches were shit, but his powerbomb was awesome.
All in all, I was a fan mostly. And by that, I mean when he was a face, I wanted to see him win and when he was a heel he scared the shit out of me and I wanted to see him lose.
His last run in WCW was "meh," but he could have been a lot better had the bookers not had their heads up their asses.
