Stupid and laughable booking aside, TNA really are giving us more wrestling. I quite enjoyed last night's Impact from the matches alone.

Yes.I am enjoying TNA more than ever and Joker Sting is the greatest thing on Impact imo.

I have made up my own context for Crazy Sting: being in tna all these years has finally driven him over the edge.

Its been on and off, some weeks its been a more wrestling oriented show while others its been more promo heavy. Its good to see that this weeks episode which was wrestling heavy got them better ratings. All in all I hope that the slight bump in ratings and maybe PPV buys will show TNA that the X-Division and good matches will actually draw for them.
In fact if you just got rid of Immortal and a few but not all of the older names AND got the booking team to adhere to a philosophy of more wrestling oriented (As well as the usual fire Russo), I would enjoy TNA a lot.

EzioAuditore: for the love of god, please shrink down that picture in your signature. It's so huge that it stretches out the entire page, so that you have to scroll back and forth horizontally just to read what people are saying in their posts. And on older computers like mine, just scrolling past that picture slows everything down. Stupid and laughable booking aside, TNA really are giving us more wrestling. I quite enjoyed last night's Impact from the matches alone. But how much more is "more"? Let's take a detailed look. In total, Impact had 29 minutes of bell-to-bell time spent in the ring. You're right, that's an improvement over what they have been doing. But it's nowhere near enough. This show, not counting commercials, runs about one hour and twenty or thirty minutes. So for every minute spent on wrestling, they're still spending two minutes on not-wrestling. No matter how much they chant the mantra "wrestling matters!", the numbers prove otherwise. Compare them to the competition. The numbers from the WWE shows of the last week: Smackdown had 44 minutes of wrestling. Raw had 40 minutes. And most damningly of all, Superstars had 36 minutes. f***ing Superstars. A one-hour show! They have exactly one-half of Impact's running time, and still handily provide more wrestling than Impact does. (I'd also provide NXT's numbers, but apparently there isn't a single recapper on the entire internet who bothers to time the matches on that show.) The statistics are pretty concrete. For all their big talk about how wrestling matters, wrestling still matters less and talking still matters more in TNA than in any other rassling show on television.

Yeah, it's not perfect, but I remember the matches more than the promos/segments, and that's an improvement.

It's gotten better the last few weeks, most of the shows this year have produced less than 20 minutes of actual in-ring matches. Oddly enough, despite WWE attempting to distance itself somewhat from wrestling, I actually think RAW and Smackdown have more in-ring time than Impact.

Still less Gunner would be great. Seriously do they really think more people would pay to see Gunner wrestle, or to see the Pope?

The show has certainly been better wrestling-wise, but I have a bad feeling that'll go away after Destination X and the episode of Impact immediately following it but we'll see.

I am really enjoying it as of recent, but don't understand why they are trying to push gunner or crimson as legit stars to us,I mean maybe I am late on the crimson appeal but I do know that gunner is bland...period.

The X division and BFG tournaments are the highlight right now. Hopefully it continues. I just hate the people TNA has decided who to push. They are still in WCW/WWE mold in that aspect.

What I do now is watch it later on youtube and fast forward through a lot of the promos, though if there are things that catch my eye, I'll stick on them. Sting caught my eye this week. I was fast forwarding through the Mexican America stuff, but stopped on The British Invasion coming out. But the matches were pretty good.
What sucks is, those X-Division returning matches seem pretty interesting. I guess for such a long time, I took Jimmy Yang for granted, I always knew he was talented, but for so long he was just a jobber in WWE.

had they decided to do wrestling instead of an opening hour long promo the impact after Jeff Hardy turned heel the new found audience would not have systematically tuned out over the course of that evening never to return
that having been said the show is a lot better

The quality of the non wrestling was much better too, I like crazy sting exept for the joker makeup, I liked the AJ,CD, JL, RVD segment, theyve improved a lot on a gradual level since the "IMPACT" change...
