sandwiched someone in the middle of the match who can bump and have some run ins. A.J. or Jeff Hardy... etc. then have a war at ringside between Immortal and the TNA resistance If this had to happen this is probably how I'd book it. Make it, like, an Immortal lumberjack match or something. Have Hogan and Sting go for a couple of minutes, then Immortal just says screw it and starts beating Sting down. Bunch of other guys on the roster storm in, there's a huge showdown, and eventually they manage to clear the ring and Sting quickly finishes Hogan off. Both keeps it short and gives other guys time to shine, while being an overbooked clusterf*** so TNA would still be cool with it. I want to know how in the hell this angle could get stretched out for five more months, though. knowing Hogan turned back face in 99 in WCW and teamed with Sting and had relatively no interest and heat when he laid down for Sting during that shoot angle later the Fall of that same year, I just can't buy into this feud still mattering all that much. I was one of the people who marked for Sting "secretly" knowing Hogan and Bischoff were rats, but ever since BFG 10 they've really botched this Immortal angle and Hogan's heel character. Not that there was much hope for it all anyways to be honest

The more I think about it, the more I think that Hogan can pull it off. He will be the heel in this match, so Sting can bump around for him until the comeback at the end. Really, the comeback can be punches, Stinger Splash, Hogan falls down and Scorpion Death Lock. It could also be botched interference from Immortal or interference from a face to help Sting.
I know that they are starting to plant the seeds now, if they want this to be a must see match they really have to ramp up the hype. Right now, I see Sting as Hogan's equal (with the Network behind him). I would like to see Hogan getting the advantage in the feud, with Sting having to face adversity while trying to goad Hogan into one more match.

If Hogan can go without taking a serious injury, that's great. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing one last match from Hogan if he's in the shape to do it. BFG would be the perfect card for Sting vs. Hogan and it still gives Hogan plenty of time to get ready.

I wouldn't necessarily mind this thing as long as it isn't for the title. In that respect I think it is imperative to have RVD turn and join Immortal at the PPV on Sunday. Hogan can screw Sting out of the title and thus TNA can do the little Hogan/Sting wackiness at the PPV, ostensibly to blow off the Immortal angle and Sting can rid the company of Hogan and Bischoff before retiring himself. Van Dam vs. Angle could be the title match on the show, since it should have main evented BFG last year and those two guys haven't had a notable match yet in TNA.

It was only a matter of time.
If anyone is really surprised by this, they really haven't been paying attention. And it WILL be for the title.

How many times now has Hogan wrestling been "rumored?" I'll believe it when I see it. Till then, all I smell is rats trying to find more ways to shovel crap on TNA when they've been doing a damn fine job with the product in recent months.

I'd like to think that even Hogan isn't this stupid. Can't see this happening. If it did, Hogan would win. Every big move Sting has impacts the back, especially the Deathlock. Hogan's old Axe Bomber is the only "big move" in the match that doesn't require him to bump. Both he & Sting have been around enough times to know this wouldn't work.

Its the only blowoff that makes sense. How else can a heel get his if you can't beat him up? Its going to be over booked to be anything watchable but if Hogan leaves TNA after soon after then fine do it

I blame the Telephone Game for this. The current plan is for them to win the tag team titles, not to face each other.

Poeple are exaggurating this. Hogan needs to get his comeuppance for the immortal angle to properly end. This will probably be a tag-match; Sting and AJ Styles vs Hogan and a Immortal heel. The match will prbably be booked cleverly, and it will probably be better than most people think.

Due to the fact that they'll need to book around Hogans health levels I reckon they will book it fairly cleverly. I reckon it'll be far more entertaining that most people on here expect it to be.

Also, I think there is a reason for it and it's simple as this: Hogan NEEDS to fall, for the villain he is. He's Dracula in Castlevania, he's Bowser in Mario, he's the last guy that needs to fall. He's the guy who you take down while both armies of good and evil are busy dueling it out in the end. Just to have something new kind of ruins it. It'd be like having Batman and Joker dueling it out with the Arkham Asylum inmates and the Batfamily, but deciding at the last minute that Joker should be defeated by Squire cause the Batman thing's been done before. See, that's another reason why I never wanted Hogan to even turn heel in the first place. You're absolutely right, this storyline has positioned him as the villain that needs to be vanquished in the end, and the one justifiable way to satisfy the crowd would be a solid, climactic beatdown. Problem is, I doubt he has any business taking the necessary bumps for an appropriate climactic beatdown, unless Sting pounds on him very lightly and carefully a la Mr. McMahon/Bret Hart.

Thing is this: Would Hogan actually allow himself to be thoroughly buried and humiliated in a match with Sting on the way out of a company? He didn't allow it in WCW circa 1997 when the angle 100% demanded it, and he could have a rematch to get the heat back. I think Hogan will end up losing and doing some sort of face turn to beat up Bischoff or whatever, something to leave him in the good graces of the fans.
Speaking of that....why is TNA bothering with Hogan as a heel anyway? Hogan does his old 80s routine on the Rent-A-Center ads, Hogan did his old 80s act when he showed up on American Idol, etc. TNA has to be the only group of people in the world who think anyone seriously wants to boo the guy in the year 2011.

You can have Hogan get his big comeuppance without him having a match, it just takes this little thing known in some rare circles as clever booking.

Course, no one here actually explains what that "clever booking" idea even is, and I'm guessing they don't know either...... ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I'm sorry, but some of you actually think Sting vs Hogan as like the main event is a good idea. I guess I shouldn't be suprised. No amount of good booking will make this feud work in Two Thousand Freakin Eleven.
