Welcome back to the Tournament to End All Tournaments! Ok, I know I said I don't do ties, but I never thought that two combatants would tie TWICE. I think the tournament is trying to tell me something. So, I'm going to throw both participants back into the pool to be randomly matched up with someone else. That way my tournament doesn't get screwed up with odd numbers, and hopefully helps determine the fates of Vince Lombardi and MacGyver. Obviously the battle between these two is too epic to determine, and I fear the continued pursuit of finding a victor will cause severe damage to the Universe. Let's move on.
Help me find out who the most awesome/badass character/person of all time is!
How would one accomplish such a task? Why by pitting every awesome and/or badass person/character/historical figure in a 512-person bracket style tournament that leaves only one person standing in the end. Who will it be? You will decide.
There is no voting criteria. You can vote for a participant based on whatever you please. If you feel that person would be the victor in a fist fight, or if you think they're more badass, more epic, have better hair, or if you just like one better than the other. It's completely up to you, the voter. I want people to have fun with this, and perhaps imagine the two participants squaring off face to face.
This evening we have our second appearance by an Arnold Schwarzeneggar character, as the T-800 from the Terminator franchise, takes on Greek folk hero, Achilles! The T-800, of course, is a futuristic cybernetic organism sent back in time to assassinate and/or protect certain people, more specifically members of the Connor family. It would seem, given the track record of the T-800, it's function is far more suited to protection as it successfully protected John Connor twice, but failed to eliminate Sarah. Anyway, he takes on fabled Greek hero, Achilles, who rose to fame through the Illiad and Odyssey novels written by Homer. Achilles happens to be a Demigod, born of a goddess who dipped him in the river Styx as a baby to make him invulnerable. However, she held him by his heel, which was ultimately his downfall in the Trojan War. Despite the fact that he was defeated, his legend lives on to this day, and he even has a body part named after him. Pretty sweet.
