with...
I was just watching this yesterday and don't really recall the angle. It was early 1988 and Baby Doll who had a past with Dusty now managed Larry Zbysko and she brought out these photos to Dusty and basically told the fans that Dusty wasn't as good as he seemed, and basically blackmailed him so Larry would get a US title shot against him, anyone remember where this went?

There was no payoff mainly because Baby Doll left the company before it could happened.

This angle sounds shameful.

This is the classic "Exhibit A" angle people point to when mentioning any storyline that has no payoff.
Larry didn't stay very long himself, but he was the Western States Heritage champion, the only UWF title that survived the merger.

I was at an NWA independent show in 2009 in Charlotte where Larry Z and Baby Doll were both on the card, and before Larry's match they got on the mic and did a little bit including a reference to the Dusty pictures. I laughed, I don't think even the older fans who were watching at the time even got it.

I, for one, think that the pictures revealed the driver of the white Hummer. What's that, you say? That wasn't until several years later? Yeah, well, that's WCW booking for ya! Always thinking ahead!

Didnt they accuse Dusty of beating kids or something? I'm not sure about that, but I do seem to recall a promo for a TV special around Christmas where Dusty said he'd come down the chimney and beat up the kids if they didn't watch the show. I hope that actually happened, at least. Otherwise, I have to wonder how the hell I came up with that.

What's kinda funny in a way is during the OJ Simpson trial when they had the manila envelope and I did think that was where the 1988 payoff was.
