The thing is, with Laurinaitis, it's a character. Dixie really is oblivious when it come to wrestling.

I vote for rotating roster of guys like Suicide. Wait, nevermind. That whole sentence just doesn't come off right now.

This is something TNA could do well. But they never will. It's a shame though, because wrestling could use a strong female authority figure. Dixie is an embarrassment to that whole concept by acting like such an oblivious moron. OR, to be less personal about it, her "character" is, to quote Melina. Not to get political, but if they booked her as the "Sarah Palin" of wrestling, we could have an AMAZING character on our hands.
Know who was a GOOD female authority figure? Steph. She had that character DOWN in her run as GM. Similarly from that time, I always thought if Sable made a power play to gain authority in the company, which is what all that seemed to point to, she'd make an awesome evil bitch boss character, which hadn't ever really been done.

The biggest problem I have with Dixie (as an on screen character) is that she is there almost by default because of who she is. She's not, nor never would she have to, proven herself as a great speaker or someone with any talent for acting/playing a wrestling character. So where is the motivation to care for her, or the situations she winds up in?
If anything, her apparent ineptitude in any and all things wrestling related, rather than making her a sympathetic face, is more likely to make an audience in 2011/12 say "stupid woman, she deserves everything she gets coming to her".
Also, I would venture that rich kid Dixie, the wrestling company owner, was NEVER going to work as a face. The poor little rich girl, spending daddy's money on whatever she chooses was never really going to be a sympathetic character, regardless of what a nice, caring, mother-of-however-many she may be.

I believe sadly, that is what makes Dixie unlikeable to me. EVPOTRAIRGM John Laurinitus is amping up his goofy side, Steph as another poster said, had that character DOWN!
With Dixie who she is in the ring IS her I think, and it's not entertaining! It's supposed to be endearing, I get that, we are suppose to sympathize with the "sane woman" in the midst of all that craziness. Problem is, by her reactions, she isn't EVER in danger!
