DK3 is/was fun. Not the greatest game in the world, but a decent one.

I'm glad he didn't bash it like I expected. This was my favorite of the three DK arcade games.

DK3 looks like it was just a victim of bad timing.

At first I was thinking of DKC 3 and was getting ready to defend the hell out of that game. Yea, never cared for DK 3, or really any of the original Donkey Kong games.

Poor Stanley, I quite enjoyed that greenhouse game on Game and Watch Collection DS. It's nice that Wario saw some money making potential in him and gave him a chance in Warioware series and Stan got off to a good start in Twisted but ruined it when he made me blow into the mic in Touched.
In conclusion it's no wonder Stanley is mostly forgotten as he keeps burning his bridges with poor selling games or mic based micro-game but it's still a shame as he's a good guy really.

Another victime of the "It's different, therefore I hate it" mindset of some Nintendo fans along w/ Zelda 2, Super Mario Bros 2/USA, The Wind Waker and Majora's Mask. It's strange how some fanboys seemingly want the same game made over and over. Pretty much every Zelda game since OOT gets slammed for not being OOT.

As a kid, I loved Donkey Kong 3.......it was one of the few games I ever rented multiple times.

I don't think that games like Zelda 2 and SMB 2 USA are bad games, but sometimes it just makes a lot more sense to just elaborate on the old gameplay style. Like, SMB 2 is a good game in it's own right but SMB 3 is almost universally considered to be a better sequel. That's because it kept the same basic gameplay elements but expanded on them to make the whole game feel new. Then Super Mario World came along and changed it a bit more. To this day, I still prefer 2D Mario games because the gameplay is so damn perfect.

A lot of Retroware TV you should enjoy, and on the same site Happy Video Game Nerd and 16 Bit Gems are great. HVGN sounds like a rip-off but it really isn't, its just a guy reviewing games he likes without any skits or wacky characters. He just talks about games. 16 bit Gems is more or less the same way, with Roo being a little nerdier but he too avoids sketch comedy and just does reviews, often with a nice historical perspective. Check out his two-part Earthbound video for instance.

Start with 16 Bit Gems for sure. I mentioned the Earthbound stuff, but the BS Zelda one is really interesting too. I don't think there's been an episode I didn't like.
