Two players who played each other at rival schools in high school, college, and then the pros?
Sorry if that's a dumb question but I'm pretty ignorant about sports history and was wondering if this had ever happened.

Probably in places like Texas, Florida, North Carolina or Indiana. Yeah the UT/OU massacre from yesterday is what made me think of it.

Monta Ellis and Lou Williams were high school rivals, and they're both PG/SG hybrids. Monta Ellis plays for the Golden State Warriors, and Lou Williams plays for the Philidelphia 76ers.

I suppose Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, although that was only college and NBA. Yeah, that's the best example I can think of. Though Bird and Magic weren't really rivals in college, the one game they did play against each other in was the National Championship, so I'd say it counts. Honestly, you're best bet for this question would probably be in football. Since the NBA has a flux of European players (as does the NHL), and the MLB has a flux of Latin Americans.

I know Tony LaRussa and Lou Piniella played against each other in high school, played against each other in the majors, and managed against each other in the majors, but Larussa was drafted out of high school so they didn't face each other in college.

Yeah, there's a ton of examples in hockey, though none I can think of at the moment.

I can't think of any off the top of my head, but a fun one is that Alex Smith (QB, 49ers) and Reggie Bush (HB, Dolphins) played together in HS... at MY rival school, so **** those guys.

There are plenty of baseball players who played together at multiple levels. I remember when Ryan Garko and Ben Francisco were both with the Indians and it was always brought up that they were high school and college teammates.

Hmm not rivals but former baseball players Morgan Ensberg and Jason Lane were teammates at USC, in the Astros minor league system and majors, and with the Padres and Yankees.
