Sanchez: 9/26 for 115 yards, 1 INT
Flacco: 8/29 for 142 yards, 1 INT
Plus the fumbles.
What an anti-classic.

Is this the new Jets/Bills game? Nope, the defenses have had enough exciting plays to destroy that game.

Haven't popped in here because I was at work when the game was being thrown away, but lemme just say, my guys giving away a twenty four point lead makes me wanna vomit.
Congrats to the Lions though.

I'm not sure which team wants this game less.

I don't hate the Cowboys like a lot of other fans do, if anything they fall into the general dislike most other teams that aren't Oakland fall in. But I can't imagine the mind**** I'd go through to have Romo as my QB. A lot of people make an issue about his toughness and like-ability, but neither of those things are missing or even important. He just can't close out a game, and regardless of whatever talent he may have, at some point Jerrah has to realize that he can't be counted on. For every game he contributes to winning, he gives another away in spectacular fashion. He's a not a bad QB but he isn't the guy either. He's still making the same mistakes after four years and right afterwards talking about how he 'needs to get better' without doing so. Which either makes him a total moron, or just not that good. Either way, it's really time to move on.

Ben Roethlisberger is already fearing the rematch in November with the Ravens. The Steelers O-Line keeps getting worse, and by that game they may just fall down right after the snap.

Mark Sanchez is a terrible Quarterback. Nothing will ever change my mind about that as he is currently.

Mark Sanchez is a terrible Quarterback. Nothing will ever change my mind about that as he is currently. See, I don't get this line of reasoning. Yes, he's looked awful in a handful of games throughout his career (The Buffalo debacle comes to mind.), but it's not like he's Tony Romo or Rex Grossman either. It's like people take notice of the bad games and not the good ones. He's also the NFL career leader in road wins by a QB, so that has to account for something.

Yeah, I'd much rather have him than a Romo or Orton.

My view on it is, Rex Ryan is f***ing Lady Luck on the side, because the Jets under Ryan have won a LOT of games they should've lost, but they somehow stumbled into a victory time and again. This is mostly evident against high quality teams. They are good enough to flat out beat the mid-tier/bad teams, but they usually need extreme luck, either in the form of the other team making stupid ass penalties very late in the game or making dumb play calls, for them to beat out the elite teams. Another problem is elite teams seem to have a really bad habit of letting the Jets hang around too long, thus letting them get their luck backed comeback victory.

That's because of the Jets defense. Sanchez is not going to win a game for the Jets. I was anticipating this. The Jets defense, save for Revis, Bart Scott and a couple of others, is not that good. Now, while it's sure that Sanchez wasn't directly responsible for bringing those wins to the Jets in playoff time, it's hard to imagine a Grossman, a Romo, or a couple of other lesser QBs going through those close playoff games and not blowing it with a crippling interception or worse. Conversely, Ben Roethlisberger has always had a strong defense and a power running game behind him; Does that diminish his success or greatness in the least? Especially when you consider his 2 out of his 3 Super Bowl appearances have been less than average?

Hopefully Nick Mangold recovers enough to start next week. I think it was pretty apparently how important a center is to the team.
Only watched the first few minutes of the 2nd half before I decided I'd be better off spending time number crunching for the bingo game. Currently I have the most spots with 6, but Unacol is the closest to getting a line. All he needs is Jason Campbell to throw 7 more INTs.

look, Sanchez is young. But he is legit terrible. He hasn't really shown the ability to be smart or accurate, not even in the slightest, and that's with a pretty solid compliment of weapons at his disposal. I don't know if its lack of ability or lack of aptitude, but that guy is awful.
And the "4 road playoff wins" thing is the biggest misnomer ever, the most context free reason that has ever existed in the history of ever to explain why someone who sucks is actually good.
4 playoff wins. On the road. 4 games. And he's tied with Jake Delhomme in that regard. Everyone knows that guy was awesome!
