So I tried out the Sonic Generations demo...could use some work.
I HOPE they let you zoom the camera out a bit. I am an old Sonic pro, and even the classic Sonic games didn't have the combo of being so damn fast and having the camera zoomed in so close that you have to have split second reaction times to stop a foot short of an enemy. Once your brain has acknowledged it's even there, you've already been hit. You almost HAVE to hit down after every booster to do the spin move just to be safe. Now I've been trying to speed run Sonic games and gotten into a habit of doing that anyway so I don't hit something or have to stop and speed dash to get through a wall...but I can imagine other people not used to doing that being annoyed.
I know it's just a demo and maybe they have something like that in the game already (no options available in the demo), but if they don't they need it. The lack of that one feature alone would make it a no-buy for me.
As far as the physics itself and all that, I'll need to play through a few times to notice. Didn't pay too much attention. Felt better than Sonic 4 at first glance but still felt off.
Also, the fact the demo actually expires is stupid.

The problem with getting a yellow light repaired is that its likely to happen to you again in a very short period of time (Usually 90-180 days). Its something that isn't easily fixed long term. I know this because a guy I work with does computer repairs and he told me he would fix my 60 GB PS3 for 30 bucks (Price of soldering and a little for his troubles) but that it would like happen again as the soldering will likely fall off again in 3-6 months; and something like 60% of all repaired yellow lights crap out within 6 months and 80% within a year. I would try to sell it for parts you could get like 70-90$ for a broken fat model. When my 60 GB crapped out on me I had him fix it for the 30 bucks. And he was right 5 months later it did it again. So what happened was I sold my 60 GB PS3 for parts (Got 85$ for it). Turned around and bought an old 80GB non-BC for 150 from a friend who takes great care of his stuff that just didn't want it anymore. So it ended up costing me only 65$ for a new fat PS3. My advice would be for you to sell your PS3 for parts get the 70-90 most places (You could just Google websites or Craigslist them) give you. Then buy a new one or a used one. Its not worth the hassle to try to repair one. If they are fixed well, that is not the case. Mine is on year two now. Problem with the yellow light of death is that the soldering you need to repair them well is lead based (Hell the reason it happens in a decent amount of older unit is because the soldering isn't lead based anymore). Lead based soldering is illegal due to EPA regulations. Most electronic repair shops just don't have lead based soldering. Even if they did it still has to be done perfectly or else its going to fail within a year. If you got a good repair and yours is going strong congrats, but based off of a lot of what I have looked into (contacting repair shops, talking to friends and people who have had this issue, my own experience, and talking to people who do their own repairs) its hard to get those repairs to stick. But hey maybe its just who you take it to and it sounds like you took it to the right place.

Remember folks, the Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta goes live tomorrow for those who bought inFAMOUS 2 and those with PlayStation Plus.
Of course that means downloading it tomorrow will be slooooooooooooooooooooow, seeing how currently there are up to 77 million PSN accounts with PS+.....

Is anybody playing Shadows of the damned? It sure sounds...interesting (in a good way).
Oh and I agree with the comments about the stupid amount of updates, it’s understandable for games on disc but is ridiculous when I’ve just downloaded it as surely they should already contain all the patches/updates/whatevers.

And of course, I lose my damn code. Because it was on a piece of paper, so my dad just figured it was probably trash.
I hate my life.

We will definitely have to set up some play dates for us fappers to group up and play some rounds of the beta together.

Also, for those of you that care, Sony is rolling out a line of game bundles for the PSP that are absolutely a steal. SourceThat's a nice way to help send the PSP off into the sunset, release twin packs of some of the system's best games(I'm going to assume all of the packs will feature first party releases, only), for only $15 a pop.

Anyone know how big the Beta will be? I'm asking because I only got 9gb left on my hard drive.

So I played the demo for El Shaddai last night for the first time, and, my god....so beautiful. Sure the gameplay is kind of repetitive, but I'm willing to let that slide for a game that is such a visual treat.
Definitely the front runner for my personal pick for "best art style".
