Remember when TNA had not one, but two African American KO at the same time? (Rhaka Khan and Sonjour bolt)? They had 3....your forgetting about Awesome Kong.

The venerable Leonard Briggs also poses a question that needs answering:

Thanks for posting that match. MVP has improved so much since his first match in NJPW. I love how he's incorporated a lot of Benoit stuff into his moveset like the rolling germans and the crossface variation. One thing though, why is Tanaka's group copying so much from the Impact Players? Everything from their poses to the singapore cane to even their name seems to be inspired by them. It's just odd. MVP is sort of a combination between Benoit and Chono which works for me. I'd love to see him come back as he offers a lot to work with. Only problem of course is his criminal record which does affect where he can tour. I've never heard that MVP's criminal record caused any problems with him touring. I always heard that R-Truth couldn't get into Canada (until like, last year I think) but never anything like that about MVP. Do you have any specific examples of that being a problem with him?

MVP didn't look any different then he did in the WWE weight wise. He is a much better wrestler now then he was. And his hair is shorter. If he wanted to go to TNA I'm sure he would been there. He went to japan to live that dream and likely get paid better.
Shelton seems to have a great role. Japan and ROH and I could seem him being there for a while.
TNA doesn't do well with pushing anybody. Just look how Lethal went from feuding with Flair to jobbing to Robbie E and then gone in months time. Look at the Pope who everyone knows is the complete package when it comes to mic work and ring skills. Then guy was on his way in 2010 as a ME face. Then they freakin turned him heel when he was getting hot for no reason but a lame booked feud with Joe.
Now he been doing stupid crap with D-von and his kids.

I think Rich Swann from Ronin would be a great addition to the X-Division.

yep, I dont think Jackie was in TNA when those three were in the company, was she? She was there through a good portion of that time. She was Beer Money's manager for a decent stint.

honestly, I've wondered the same thing myself. Creed released, Lethal released, Jackie comes in the same time as ODB but she gets released while ODB gets a prominent storyline, Pope constantly treated like an afterthought. Even the Devon/Pope feud felt like a sop because it didn't even try to make sense and basically killed any heat either of them may have had left.
Makes you wonder if TNA has a paper bag test for pushes.

Makes you wonder if TNA has a paper bag test for pushes. Nothing racial about it. TNA has an intellegence test, and they always do the opposite. Doesn't matter if it's Pope and Jay Lethal, or Samoa Joe, Sarita, and the X-Divisions. If they're doing well and the fans like it, their, idea seems to be, "Let's get rid of it, what do the fans know."

DGUSA has like three young black guys on their roster that could easily improve TNA's product. And they all also work for CZW.
ACW has one as well. ROH has a few as well.
They are around. TNA just isn't looking.

The thread should be more focused about Black female wrestlers as there are noone when just 3-4 years ago they had at least three. With that said, I don't think that TNA is racist; keep in mind that this is the same company that did push Monty Brown, The Pope, Jay Lethal, Creed and others. Ron Killings became the first Black World Champion by winning the NWA World Title in '02.

Pope is really underutilized. TNA seems to be dropping the ball on him just like WWE did.

It's exactly this decline that throws the lack of current Black wrestlers, both male and female, into sharp relief. I don't know who's in charge of hiring and firing talent now but I doubt it's the same people now as then. Outside of Gail Kim and the occasional appearance of Zema Ion, the show is all white now.
