Justin Credible cut it in ECW, but in WWE... fans were never going to accept it. I was taking a break from watching at the time, but was he allowed to use his catchphrase in WWE? In terms of names that made bad gimmicks worse and stunted careers: Flash Funk Sparky Plugg (let's face it, "Holly Wood" Bob Holly was never the same after being called "Sparky.") Jimmy Graffiti I am pretty sure he used it a few times, before or after being in the stable X-Factor. It was kind of funny in that their muscle man, Albert, was pushed more and more over than the "leader" X-Pac, and outside of a few forgettable tag matches, I don't think they did much outside of Albert, who had a good feud with Kane and won the IC title.

I swear the only time I remember hearing Justin Credible speak in the WWE was before a match with CM Punk. He popped up in the corner of the screen. Didn't say his catchphrase.

Probably didn't ruin his career, but being called "The Final Solution" probably wasn't the best way to cap off Jeep Swenson's in ring career!

Going back to the original post, FCW does have a habit of giving guys bad names. The one that springs to mind is Leakee. I know it's pronounced "Lee-AH-kee" but it looks like "Leaky", as in if you hit him hard enough he'll pee is pants.

Oh wow! "Kassius Ohno" does sound crappy just like "Lift Sawyer" or "Braden Walker" and many other names mentioned here. Many crappy names are connected to joke gimmicks that can be dropped. However, among the bad ring names there is ONE, just ONE that stands out to me. Beat this: www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/profiles/k/ken-raper.htmlWhat?

Shirtless, sitting in a sauna with that epic mullet. Then wearing a Jason mask and holding an ax.

Austin dodged several bullets there. And that's the bottom line, 'cause Chilly McFreeze said so.

It's been argued that Val Venis could've went further in his career if not for that name. He was still incredibly over back in the Attitude Era and a memorable character, some can only dream for that.

Although it didn't seem to hurt him too much, I've always thought X-Pac was a terrible name. Now there's a talented guy called simply "Pac" who I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with, that's even worse. X-Pac sounds like a white guy stealing 2pac's name, and Pac sounds like a guy stealing X-Pac's name.
While I agree that the name Gunner Scott didn't do the man any favors, I think it's worth noting that Albright himself came up with the name so that one is the guy's own fault.
