So like, I know everyone's excited about the final episodes of Supernatural, but is this still a Veronica Mars thread too?
I've been rewatching the series and am on season 3. Afterward I'm going to watch the movie and the Hulu episodes from last year.
Good show in general, but I wonder if Veronica Mars lives in a parallel universe where there's like 50 hours in a day. She has time to do well in all her classes, work for/with her father, hold down another job, solve school mysteries on her own, hang out with her friends, and she's obviously getting a good nights sleep every night because she's never tired.

Of course it is! Have you seen the movie and/or the Hulu season before, or would this be the first time?

I saw the movie once when it first came out like six years ago, but for some reason it's a total blank. Literally the only thing I remember is that Mac had short hair (Tina Majorino is super cute btw) and I think I remember it being more violent and having a little more swearing than the show, but I literally don't recall the plot at all. I've never seen the Hulu episodes before.

I'm glad I asked about the Hulu season because I didn't want to say anything out of turn and ruin it in any way. One thing I can say that isn't spoilery at all is that I really liked the new version of the theme song. Some people didn't dig it, but I did, since I love Chrissie Hynde.

As long as it's better than the season 3 version of the song. It literally makes me angry. Like, season 1 and 2 you would get the 5-10 minute setup for a case, and then the theme would hit and I'd mark out like "f*** yeah, Veronica Mars is on the case!". Now I'm just like "Will this shit song please end so we can get on with the story?"

Unsure how you'll feel about S4's version now. If I had to guess, I'd lean towards you not liking it. And now you have to let me know what you think haha

It looks like next week, Cas may tell Dean about the deal he made with The Shadow last season.

season 15 starts in the uk on the 23rd on 4 music (channel 4 have buyers remorse as they buried this show on a dead time slot for the last season after a few episodes ( from 9pm/10pm to midnight and after on sundays.), and are using bon jovi's living on a prayer to advertise it.

I don't like the theme as much as the season 1-2 theme, but I do think it's better than the season 3 theme. Also, it kinda fits anyway. The season 1-2 theme was good for a teenage girl private eye show, but the Hulu theme works for a show about a female private eye that's like 30. And for the record, I liked the first episode. I'm gonna try to binge the other 7 this weekend. Much better than the movie. The movie wasn't bad, it just felt like a long average episode of the show. The Hulu episodes so far actually feel more cinematic and like a huge event than the movie did. And yet again, Patton Oswalt show up in something I watch! He's like a white Samuel L Jackson, dudes in everything lol.

I never thought about the movie vs. the Hulu season in the way you just mentioned, but I get what you mean. I love the movie, but in comparison to the latest season, it doesn't feel quite as cinematic. I can't pinpoint why; maybe as something as obvious as the cinematography? Either way, I feel you on it.

Thats quite possibly it. The movie was pretty much filmed and lit and stuff just like an episode of the show. It also didn't seem to have a very big budget. The Hulu episodes so far just look bigger. Like it's shot and lit like a big budget movie or at the very least high end streaming shows like the Marvel Netflix shows and Stranger Things and stuff.
