I have to admit I've actually been surprised throughout the season at some of the negativity around the thread. I've really enjoyed the season and thought they've done all they can to come back from a couple of really horrid half seasons that I couldn't enjoy at all.
Granted I'm not as wholly invested in the Leviathan storyline as I was Azazel or Lucifer in the very beginning, but it's been a humungous step up in quality from the latter portion of Season 5 and the soulless Sam mess in Season 6. Dick Roman is an awesome big bad. No one will probably top Mark Pellegrino's Lucifer, but JPS is more than holding his own. His weird twisted smirks and the little one liners he get off kill me. I was wondering what the hell you can do to top Lucifer and in turn God(stiel) when that was all said and done, and I can live with what the Leviathans have done. They're a different villain, but I'm on board.
It isn't just in a "well at least it isn't Swan Song" way. I've genuinely enjoyed this season and the only down side I have for the finale is knowing we're heading away for another four months. They have me really interested in Dick (shhh), Crowley, Ghost!Bobby, mental Cas, awesome Meg, all of it. First time I've been able to say that over the course of a full season with any consistency since Season 4.
It isn't my favorite season, and I'll need to see the finale to properly rank it, but it's up there in that Season 2 and Season 4 range. If the remainder of the series took this direction and stuck with it, I'd be more than happy to live with that.

One thing I'll be glad to see on Friday. I thought last week was the season finale so when the recap came on and there was no Kansas I got annoyed and thought they'd pulled a Swan Song on it.

Hopefully they're just slacking and it'll start sooner rather than later. One thing I'll be glad to see on Friday. I thought last week was the season finale so when the recap came on and there was no Kansas I got annoyed and thought they'd pulled a Swan Song on it. A fair assumption, since this season got an extra episode. A season finale without Carry On Wayward Son is like a day without sunshine.

A season finale without Carry On Wayward Son is like a day without sunshine. Stupid Season 1. If you remember, they played it the episode BEFORE. They used "Fight The Good Fight" by Triumph on the first season finale.

I don't know. For me, the season's okay but...it's just not that interesting or engaging for me. I partially blame that on them constantly building, for seasons, a story that they blew off & now they're starting over. But it literally feels like this season, more than once, has said "Well, what now?"
I also think part of it for me is I always preferred the earlier seasons of the show. The lower scale, but still steep odds, and the more gritty, personal feeling alot of the story had to it. Where you really, least for me, could feel the hate & the tension & the blood and all of it. I'd prefer something more like that but save something drastic happening, I couldn't see it happening now.
It hasn't been terrible, don't get me wrong. There's been moments I've really enjoyed but overall it does feel a bit like Buffy's last few seasons, the shark's been jumped & we're delaying the obvious. The story's been told, there's nothing left.
Also I'd love a season where for once, for the first time in ages, Sam & Dean don't have the season annual "Well, I guess we should just go our own ways then!" storyline shtick. Love the boys but I always face palm every season it happens.

They used "Fight The Good Fight" by Triumph on the first season finale. They were young and innocent then. They knew not what they were doing. I've been avoiding saying anything in depth about this season. I have my opinions on it and much like everything else I have opinions on, those opinions don't seem to be syncing up with most of what I read everyone else say. That's fine and that's what makes a horse race, but there's not much for me to say because I'm just not on the same page. So for me, it's light hearted, positive fun. Unless I start to stick out like the sorest of thumbs and people stop replying to me all together - then I'll stop haha.

So, America's Next Top Model is moving to Fridays, being paired with Nikita. What does this mean for Supernatural? Well, Supernatural has a new home - Wednesdays at 9pm. Do we think this is a good or bad thing? I can't decide. Also, The CW announced that to cut back on hiatuses, their new fall season will be starting in October. I think that's a change I could get behind, actually.

There was an episode where Willow, Xander, and Angel get into this club where kids are dressed as vampires, and Xander said that he and Willow stuck out like sore thumbs. Willow responded with that line, and Xander's response was "You have too many thoughts." But anyways, in a way it's good for me that it moved. The only things on Wednesdays that I watch are Psych and South Park, so for a good majority of the year, there's nothing on Wednesdays. And now Supernatural won't be against Smackdown. Plus, it's being paired with Arrow. It is kind of sad, and funny, that only one CW show is keeping their current timeslot, and that's The Vampire Diaries. Everything else is getting shifted around.

Aw man, I didn't get your reference What's good for me about it is that I already watch ANTM on Wednesdays at 9, so it doesn't change my viewing habits too much. Though ANTM being on Fridays at 8 totally conflicts my Friday DVR schedule . I'm guessing they're trying to kill Top Model anyhow, though. I noticed that The Vampire Diaries is the only thing not to move to a new day and/or time. That show is kind of their golden child anyway, though, and it seems they view Thursday nights as their prime night.

Of course, Wednesday is the most piled around day for shows I have to DVR for other people in this house, so I'm going to have problems DVR'ing the show.
*sigh*
