Well this sucks. For some reason the Colin Delaney one ended abruptly during his story about getting drunk in a strip club with some of the WWE guys. I guess I should try to re-download it. Anybody else have this problem? Sometimes I have to re-download 4-5 times to get it to fully download. I just note the filesize and if it's not right, re-download before even attempting to listen. This weeks so far has been about a mb off three times. I re-downloaded it and got the whole thing. Weird how that happened. Stupid itunes store. Listened to Jay Lethal last night which was really good and now I'm listening to Steen. I love how he says he learned english from JR's commentary. I'll check out the new one next.

I got a good laugh from how Steen said he would use the word Slobber-knocker not knowing it is a made up JR-ism.

Listened to the Marty Scrul episode. Sounds like it was a lot of fun to see live.

Loved this episode. I'm a big fan of Brendan Burns anyway so to hear him tell stories of being an obnoxious fan was great.
The only thing that striked me as slightly off was Colt himself. His opening material wasn't fantastic and he seemed almost uncomfortable throughout it all. He did have a couple of good lines though.

Jesus H, this one is near death. Yea, not that great. I get a lot of sleazy vibes from this guy. He does have a few cool stories though.

Hell, I got sleazy vibes from the guy when I watched Beyond the Mat the first time. I'll have to check this one out. To answer the open question, I think my first AOW was Johnny Saint. That's probably still my favorite, because I'm a big wrestling history buff and it was cool to get a look into old school British wrestling. Sometimes it's hard for me to get interested in a show from the start because I don't really follow the indies (more a cost thing than a lack of interest) so I don't really know much about some of the guests beyond their names. I did enjoy the shows with SDR and Beth Phoenix.

I don't want to make it sound like the guy is a total sleaze during the interview, he just says a lot of things that...don't exactly sound sincere.

I had already gotten that sleaze vibe from him in Beyond the Mat, and Sara Del Rey's story on her AOW episode about him telling her "it's not who you know, it's who you blow" only added to it.

I'd forgot about that. She'd told the story on the In Your Head show but hadn't named the promoter. When I heard her mention Alexander on AOW, I can't say I was shocked.

Thanks to everyone talking about it on here, my first one was Adam Pearce....and yes, it has become a weekly Thursday afternoon tradition to plug in and listen to a new AOW podcast.
