The Attitude Era was not the golden age of wrestling in fact it did more damage to wrestling than good. . I've been saying that for years. It's nice to see someone else who agrees.

We can sit here all we want and try to evaluate the current WWE roster, but given how poorly booked most of the "angles" (when they even put in the effort to have one for someone) are, we cannot really tell the difference in potential between the range of guys from Dolph Ziggler to Jinder. And this is why creative is who people should blame for the terrible quality of the product. Of course a lot of people on the roster aren't over, how can they be with the garbage creative gives them.

Both Paul Heyman and Joey Styles cut better "shoot" promos on the company than CM Punk, as they both had stronger personal motivation behind the "shoot". Most of Punk's promos in that era were simply things we complain out. If someone from this forum could have cut that exact same promo, it's not all that groundbreaking.

I've been saying that for years. It's nice to see someone else who agrees. 3rded. this may be about to become a popular opinion. also anti-hero does not equal deep. doing the right thing does not equal shallow a small guy doing a bunch of spinning doesn't always equal a great wrestling move losing does not equal burial or even end of push

Miz SUCKS. He looks lost in the ring, and his promos consist of "Your local sports team sucks" and "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME". His moveset also seems like he just took a bunch of other people's moves and mashed them together. He blatantly stole his corner clothesline from Evan Bourne.

You can say the same thing about CM Punk's moveset. It's an amalgamation of great moves from other wrestlers.

Savage/Steamboat at WM3 being called "One of the greatest matches of all time" I agree that it was probably great for it's time.
Trish Stratus being one of the best women's wrestlers ever. I think her character/look over shadowed everything else.
Edge didn't need 12 world title reigns, I don't mind Edge but yeah...and Del Rio should have won the belt from him at WM27.

I love Michael Cole. I find him being an overbearing asshole on commentary to be hilarious. ;D Don't know if I love him but I do enjoy his commentary. I agree that he can be hilarious at times just keep him out of the ring.

4 minute matches are so much better than 15 minute matches. Anything longer than 15 minutes and I hit fast forward.
Chris Benoit was never that good. By post-world title run, he was actually bad.

Ah this thread again, I often wonder how many statements here are purely written to get under peoples skin, All under the banner of [Well I'm just being "honest"].
But I'll join for fun:
I find jack swagger to be the most uninteresting person to ever wrestle in modern times moreso the jinder mahal.

each and every championship in WWE is absolutely worthless. I laugh when someone posts something that says that a title is being "devalued".

On the whole, I really enjoy the WWE product, I have enjoyed it for 25 years or so, and really appreciate the incredible entertainment value they've given me for the amount of money I've put in. I've enjoyed every different era for what it was. I'm glad they haven't ever panicked and given the promotion over to book it the "IWC way" (because they'd be out of business in about a month).

The "pennies" would actually be decent looking if they were gold instead of copper.

Edge didn't need 12 world title reigns, I don't mind Edge but yeah...and Del Rio should have won the belt from him at WM27. Nobody needs 12 title reigns. Seriously, would it hurt to have the world title not change hands every two months? Also, not gonna call him overrated, because I can fully understand why people like him, but the Rock never struck me as a tough guy at all. Charismatic? Sure. A draw? Definitely. But across from guys like Austin, who came off tough as nails, workhorses like Shawn Michaels and technical greats like Kurt Angle, the Rock in-ring and as a character comes off a little underwhelming.
