Liked his WCW stuff, always thought he was an interesting choice to feud with Sting.

I dig Vampiro. He was one of the few wrestlers I looked forward to seeing in WCW during its dying years.

I always like Vampiro. didn't like ICP or the Misfits (minus Danzig). I was glad that they also brought Muta back to WCW.. but Vampiro feuding with Sting in 2000 was mostly a disaster, I'll have to admit, and Raven should have been feuding with Sting in 98 or 99. Then, mix Vampiro and Muta into the Raven v. Sting feud.

Speaking of Vampiro , where's that huge Vampiro mark that used to annoy people around here? Specifically annoyed people as if he was the only Canadian around this forum.

I liked his hard hitting feud with dr death. I always thought they had some good brawls. Those are the only matches I ever enjoyed by him. Jericho didn't speak highly of him in his book.

A couple of times, at least once in Mexico and once in Japan, Vampiro went behind his back to the promotor, saying Jericho was saying he wasn't happy, wanted more money, a bigger push etc. I guess to give him a bad reputation and get him fired.

Also Eddie Guerrero also said that Vampiro was one of the biggest back stabbers he had ever met.

I know the feud with Sting sucked, but I do remember there being ONE moment that I really marked out for. I had to look up a recap online because my memory was a little fuzzy about exactly what happened (I had only flipped to Nitro as this was happening, and haven't seen it since).
Anyway, Sting vs. The Great Muta was the main event of this particular episode of Nitro. They just brawled in the aisle for a few minutes and then you could see shadows behind the Nitro-tron or whatever they called it. ICP and Vampiro cut their way through the screen, and Vamp jumped off the tron and attacked Sting. Then ICP pulled Sting through the screen and you could see the silhouettes of ICP, Muta, and Vampiro beating him up. I remember thinking that it was a really awesome visual.

He was unique and had a great gimmick but it really seems like I want to hate his f***ing guts based on basically everything I've ever read about him.

I always have and always will love Vampiro. I read an interview with him Semi-Recently and he seems very humbled now, he said that after a near death experience around about '05 that he decided that being so egocentric and the "wrestling lifestyle" had to stop because it was killing him.
He also said that the reason the feud with Sting didn't work all that well is because Sting wanted to be the only big painted superstar in WCW and didn't really want to work with Vampiro. Vamp admitted that while he wasn't the nicest guy at the time Sting did his best to make sure that the feud would sink and by all means it did.
