Why is Jimmie Johnson's car teal green? I'm almost certain I caught a glimpse of one of the characters from the upcoming Madagascar movie, so that might be it.

The IndyCar race at Belle Isle today was ass. It usually is, but this was especially bad, with parts of the street coming up during the race, causing Hinchcliffe to crash and bringing out a lengthy red flag period to patch the spots. Dixon led all 60 laps, Franchitti and some others got a heaping pile of luck, and Servia continued to build on his positions gained during the year, adding another 11 to move up to 73 total positions gained through 6 races.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but...Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been the most consistent driver in the Sprint Cup this year. If he could get a few W's Joonyer Nashun might be a little happier, but I'm more than pleased to this point.

A bit of a PA 410 Sprint scene update.
Tyler Walker (Last Year's King's Royal winner)'s coming back to Pennsylvania.
Justin Henderson left the Sorokach Motorsports #35 to go back to South Dakota with his family, and Tyler Walker (formerly of the Keen Motorsports #17) has been hired to take his place. However, due to his job in California taking up a lot of his time, he'll only be running big time trial shows, and local driver Curt Stroup will be his fill-in driver for the smaller shows.
Sam Hafertepe Jr. has left the Zemco #1z to go back to Texas and his family's car. No replacement driver has been named.
Kevin Nouse has left the Chris Dietz #14 to return to the John Pinter #92, which will be mostly running as a URC 360 for the rest of the year. Brian Leppo is the replacement driver in the #14, as he lost his previous ride (Keen Motorsports #17) after his car owner Jesse Keen died and the team disbanded.
Trouble abounds for Stevie Smith and the CL Motorsports #19 team. GLR Investments is being investigated by the SEC for a possible Ponzi Scheme. The owner of the #19, Chris Luck, is the "L" in "GLR". A good amount of GLR's money was invested in two startups, MediaTile and Digital Delivery Networks Inc., both of which have Luck as Chairman of the Board, and both of which were sponsors on the 19 car. Chris Luck has pulled out of ownership, leaving the car in the hands of Chad and Jenn Clemens of CJB Motorsports, who own Fred Rahmer's #51 car.
Lucas Wolfe (Allebach Racing #5w) May be coming off of the World of Outlaws tour to become a local driver yet again. Lucas has been out there for about 4 years now, with only he and his father Randy as the crew members, and woefully underfunded the entire time. The Allebachs have reached their spending limit (and compared to the average WoO team, they weren't spending much to begin with), and if some significant sponsor money can't be acquired by Memorial Day, they're coming home.
Greg Hodnett (Trone Outdoor #39) continues to be the dominant driver in the area, with significantly more wins than anybody else, at both Williams Grove and Port Royal.
Danny Dietrich (GKR Motorsports #48) leads Lincoln Speedway points, and has 3 wins there. Brian Monteith (Parrish #21) and Cory Haas (Barshinger/Haas #11c) also have 3 wins, but aren't quite up there with Dietrich in Lincoln's point standings.

Kurt Busch has been suspended until June 13 for his latest outburst at a member of the media in violation of his probation so no Trucks in Texas or Sprint Cup in Pocono.

NASCAR is f***ed up. They let Danica get away with ramming Hornish into the wall head on after the race but Kurt Speaking his mind they cannot have that.

You can't compare a one-time lapse of judgment to a man who has a DWI, multiple fines, and multiple chances to clean himself up.

It was a verbal threat, and after listening to it, I became worried that perhaps Kurt's on the sauce. Danica and Sam have a rivalry that extends past even the formerly-known-as-IRL, so essentially its water under the bridge.

So how is verbal abuse worse than reckless and dangerous driving?

Blowing up at and threatening a reporter for the 4th time for asking a follow up question to something you brought up knowing it would get you suspended because you're on probation is hurting people by killing NASCAR's already bad rep. Plus let's not forget that he is on probation for clipping members of Newman's team with his car because of his anger outbursts. It's not like this is an isolated incident or anything, he has a history of this crap. He's was on his 7th chance in the last year before NASCAR said enough. He'll be lucky to have a ride in Sprint Cup next week and should kiss Finch's ass forever if he does.

David Reutimann will be driving the #51 car at Pocono after receiving permission from Tommy Baldwin Racing, with Dave Blaney driving the #10 car at Pocono this weekend.
Phoenix Racing owner James Finch says that Kurt Busch will be on a race-to-race deal going forward. Seems like Busch was already on a short leash with Finch. Busch has already wrecked 14 cars this season, at least 3 of them beyond repair.

Thank God that Kurt has no interest in driving winged sprint cars, or I'd have to deal with him possibly following Tyler Walker (another NASCAR Exile) out here.

If Adam Sandler needed to reboot a movie from the past, Happy Gilmore would be PERFECT for one Kurt Busch. Add in Jerry Punch or Pockrass as the Bob Barker guy and Kyle Busch as Shooter McGavin!

Tags is on the pole for the second year in a row at Texas.
Sounds like they removed a lot of downforce from the cars, which is something drivers have been asking for. And now that they have, there's a number of drivers complaining.
Newgarden's engine let go in practice and he didn't make a qualifying run so will start last. Not sure what happened with Hildebrand, but he was incredibly slow, 202.596 mph - compared to Tagliani's speed of 215.691 mph.
Starting grid for tomorrow night:
Row 1 - Alex Tagliani, Dario Franchitti Row 2 - Graham Rahal, Scott Dixon Row 3 - Will Power, James Hinchcliffe Row 4 - Tony Kanaan, Marco Andretti Row 5 - Simon Pagenaud, Ryan Briscoe Row 6 - Oriol Servia, Rubens Barrichello Row 7 - Ryan Hunter-Reay, E.J. Viso Row 8 - Helio Castroneves, Charlie Kimball Row 9 - Justin Wilson, Mike Conway Row 10 - Ed Carpenter, Takuma Sato Row 11 - James Jakes, Katherine Legge Row 12 - JR Hildebrand, Simona de Silvestro Row 13 - Josef Newgarden

IndyCar got exactly what they needed tonight, with a good, safe, and exciting race on a 1.5 mile track. Dixon was running away with it before spinning out and hitting the wall, which put the lead in Power's hands before he got penalized for blocking Kanaan and dropped a lap down. Rahal took over the lead from Briscoe and looked like he would lead the rest of the way, but brushed the wall with 2 laps to go. He managed to save the car but the brush allowed Wilson to take the lead and the win. It's Dale Coyne Racing's second win ever, and Wilson's first since 2009. Rahal took 2nd and Briscoe was 3rd.
