Alonso won the Malaysian GP from Perez and Hamilton. Gotta love when rain makes a Grand Prix interesting.

So Kanaan's gearbox crapped out on him and he's out at St. Pete's. No big deal, I expect Will Power or Scott Dixon to win the race with Barrichello as a dark horse to win.

So Helio won in St. Pete. His first win since 2010 in Japan. Capped it off with a nice tribute by climbing the fences on Dan Wheldon way.
BTW, not to crap on everybody's parade but I live in LA and it's raining pretty decently. Fontana's about an hour away from where I live so maybe NASCAR can squeeze about half of the race in before the storm gets to Fontana.

Great win by Castroneves, he made a great move on Dixon to set himself up for the win. There were a few people that were out of the race that ABC never explained why. Newgarden looked pretty good racing against some of the top dogs, he should be able to have a strong run or two this year if he and SFHR can get a good qualifying set-up.
Top five was Castroneves, Dixon, Hunter-Reay, Hinchcliffe, Briscoe.

Yeah, I don't remember Reid and Goodyear explaining how Sebastien Bourdais ended up out of the race especially since he was racing so well during the middle of the race.

I don't think they explained Hildebrand, Conway, Bourdais, or how Franchitti wound up 13th, unless they talked about in the post-race. ABC needs to figure out how to cover road and street races already, between all of that and the passes and battles they were missing.

Great pic from St. Pete today. And Danica Hinchliffe! Hinch is the man. If GoDaddy doesn't use him in any way in their marketing they are missing the boat.

glad I wasn't around to watch the California race today, FF'ed through most of it. happy that Smoke won again, even happier we're done with the most boring track in nascar

Sorry I'm late...but...
HELIO!
I'm stating it now...Helio wins #4 at Indy this year in Penzoil livery, takes the championship for what will be branded Shell/Chevrolet Team Penske, and politely goes into semi-retirement with the grin that we all know is ALWAYS genuine.
