And Junior's already looking strong early on. Well so far he is leading more laps in one race then he did all last season. ;D

Once again NASCAR wins at their corrupt appeals hearing. Hendrick is still pissed and will take it to the next level.

The McLarens look absolutely beastly this season... it's going to be between them, Mercedes and Red Bull for the titles.
Also... what the hell, Ferrari? Admittedly, Alonso was hampered by his spin, but if Raikkonen didn't mess up his last lap, Massa would have been gone in Q1 with the scrub teams.

Said it on Twitter but I'll say it here as well. ESPN's Motorsports editor K. Lee Davis is a prick. He's been going on a rant about how all NASCAR fans want nothing but wrecks and should watch real racing like F1 or NHRA, how if drivers cannot win on road courses they aren't real drivers and new NASCAR is better than old and the people who don't realize it are idiots.

Hendrick wins and NASCAR loses! Every penality imposed on the 48 team because of the C-Posts at Daytona have been overturned except for the $100K fine to Knaus.
Justice wins!

I've had a wide range of emotions on this topic.
If anything, Johnson and company should have been lucky their penalties weren't INCREASED.
Oh wait, the chief appelate is a FORMER f***ING GM EMPLOYEE!

Oh wait, the chief appelate is a FORMER f***ING GM EMPLOYEE! Who's been the head of the appeals for 2 years and in the 4 cases brought to him over turned or lowered the penalties of them all. Also, Hendrick has letters from NASCAR saying the C Post area was fine to tinker with and others from January saying the car was fine. NASCAR had no leg to stand on, screwed this up big time and it rightfully bit them in the ass..

As much as I don't like Knaus, I'm with Ric on this one...this whole thing was shady, and damn if it isn't time for NASCAR to get taken to task for their...uh...subjective rule enforcement.
Regardless of the team, rules need to be consistent. NASCAR likes to play God...and this time they got it back. The Mustache and Lil' Brian France better take notice...

The top-ten in the first race practice for the IndyCar Series season at St. Petersburg:
1 - Scott Dixon (Honda) 2 - Ryan Briscoe (Chevrolet) 3 - Will Power (Chevrolet) 4 - Dario Franchitti (Honda) 5 - Simon Pagenaud (Honda) 6 - Justin Wilson (Honda) 7 - Marco Andretti (Chevrolet) 8 - Mike Conway (Honda) 9 - Graham Rahal (Honda) 10 - Helio Castroneves (Chevrolet)
Some surprising names in the next three: 11 - Josef Newgarden 12 - E.J. Viso 13 - James Jakes
The fastest Lotus was Oriol Servia in 19th, with Alex Tagliani and Sebastien Bourdais right behind him. Rubens Barrichello only ran 8 laps and was 24th, while Katherine Legge was last.

Practice 2 has started and times are dropping like a rock. Will Power almost ran a 1:02 flat!

A lot of drivers under 1:03. Could see some in the 1:01s for qualifying. Lotus isn't too far off-pace, I think Simona and SeaBass both got under 1:03.
Also, Ed Carpenter no longer the slowest on roads/streets thanks to Katherine Legge.

Pretty pumped up for the start of the Indy season. The new engines sound and are operating great. Not to excited about the new body though. Almost makes the car seem like a super go kart the way the rear quarter pieces on the body curls around the rear tires.

Row 3 Inside: Helio Castroneves / #3 Team Penske / Chevrolet - 1:01.9987 Outside: Scott Dixon / #9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing / Honda - 1:01.7636
Row 4 Inside: Marco Andretti / #26 Andretti Autosport / Chevrolet - 1:01.7895 Outside: Tony Kanaan / #11 KV Racing Technology / Chevrolet - 1:01.8699
Row 5 Inside: Dario Franchitti / #10 Target Chip Ganassi Racing / Honda - 1:01.9570 Outside: Graham Rahal / #38 Service Central Chip Ganassi Racing / Honda - 1:02.0233
Row 6 Inside: Mike Conway / #14 A.J. Foyt Enterprises / Honda - 1:02.5084 Outside: E.J. Viso / #5 KV Racing Technology / Chevrolet - 1:02.5146

Row 11 Inside: Simona de Silvestro / #78 HVM Racing / Lotus - 1:02.8218 Outside: Charlie Kimball / #83 Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing / Honda - 1:03.0437
Row 12 Inside: Oriol Servia / #22 Lotus Dreyer & Reinbold Racing / Lotus - 1:02.8771 Outside: Ed Carpenter / #20 Ed Carpenter Racing / Chevrolet - 1:03.3591
Row 13 Inside: Katherine Legge / #6 Lotus Dragon Racing / Lotus - 1:03.6048 Outside: Sebastien Bourdais / #7 Lotus Dragon Racing / Lotus - 1:05.6858
Surprised to see the Andretti drivers qualified so well, as they were all over the place the last few years. I think Hinch is going to win a race or two this year, and will at the very least be a strong contender at most of them. Pagenaud was knocked 10 spots down for his team making an unauthorized engine change.
