Lately it seems like everybody is comparing the pirate verison of Paul Birchill to Johnny Depp's character in Pirates of the Caribean(sp). I disagree with this school of thought and see more similarities to the pirate character in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Does anyone else see this?

It's a mix of the two, he's dressed like Depp's character, complete with eye liner, but the character itself is a bit more like Pete the pirate in Dodgeball, i.e. that he isn't actually a pirate and everyone around him thinks he's off his head.
