OMG you should have heard the Penguin announcers going apes*** over that. Elias was the one who should have been in the box for the high stick, not Sykora. Devils announcers said the same thing. Elias was guilty of the penalty, but Sykora took the fall for it for some reason. Not like it mattered, though. Pittsburgh blew away the Devils 4-1. It could have mattered though.. at the time it was a only a 1 goal lead. Elias was the one who scored the SH goal. Had he been in the box where he belonged that wouldn't have happened. Not saying they wouldn't have scored a shorty on us to begin with. BUT that could have been a momentum turner in the game. Sykora.. no way does he get put on the ice for a PK situation. Just managed to get the Pens bench fired up though. What the heck is going on in Kovalchuk's head.. he had some huge mental let downs last night. The bad change that allowed Staal to score and then some questionable clearing attempts / passes in the defensive zone to the center of the ice and not up the boards. Ouch

Love the Oilers' young talent, but HATE the home jerseys. The road unis are fine, but Nuge would look great in this: Well that jersey is our 3rd jersey this year and he wore it last Thursday against Minnesota.

no No NO Can somebody anybody find an end game that makes sense? Ties are a non issue in today's American sports market, endless OT is impractical, and the 3 on 3 idea is even less of an actual game situation in the NHL then the penalty shot which the shootout is based on. Sure I'm not saying its perfect with the points system (3 point games and all that jazz) but the shootout is here to stay since ties suck and bringing them back are a non issue.

Seriously, somebody should consider taking out Phil Kessel on his way to the arena. That's pretty much the only way to stop him.

Phil Kessel is off to this explosively hot start and the Boston Bruins have scored 16 goals in eight games, yet I still don't regret the Kessel trade one bit, and probably never will.

Smart move by him.. you don't want your top player sitting in the box for 4 minutes if the refs are dumb enough not to call the right number.

Speaking of Habs, two of their fans are missing all of a sudden (Premier Blah and (especially) Darth Alexander). I wonder why!? ;D

It's early in the season, but so far 17 teams have sold out every game. That's neato.

Speaking of Habs, two of their fans are missing all of a sudden (Premier Blah and (especially) Darth Alexander). I wonder why!? ;D I've been very busy so I haven't been able to be around much (obviously). Yeah I know...we stink. This is epic bad. Worst start in our entire 102 year history and it's going to get worse: Flyers tomorrow night, then Boston back to back. It'll be an easy 2 points for the Flyers and the easiest 4 points Boston will get this year. If they manage to lose then you know something is seriously wrong with the Bruins..hell, anyone can beat us now. A beer-league team could beat us. Martin has to go - as does Gauthier. Two dummies that need to be sent off in a rocket to another Universe. I want them gone before we get our high draft pick next summer...because those clowns will get a high pick and probably trade it for some a-hole 4th liner who'll get injured in his second game. Laugh it up you hockey pucks, always remember though - we still rule. (Yeah I know, it's kind of hard to even type that with a straight face right now but what can I say?)

I should also mention that if Martin does go, one of the rumored replacements is Lemaire. This should be a riot. Roy is mentioned as well but that'll probably be an even bigger disaster.
Edit: Not that Lemaire's a disaster but the media and him don't mix and Roy is not very calm and level-headed sometimes.
Edit #2: The Bruins can still kiss my arse!

The Blue Jackets got their 1st win of the season. WTF!? Playing your backup goaltender who allowed 7 goals the game prior (to the best team of the league (so far) no less) because your #1 is at home with his newborn will do that for you.
