In your opinion, which of Punk's promos were better? To me, it was the contract negotiation and promo on Cena. It was just a better Wrestling promo. Sure, the worked shoot was great and probably more significant in the long run. I'll always be more inclined to want to re-watch the one from 7/11/11 Raw.
Your thoughts?

The second one definitely. Seeing him tear into Vince in a way that so many others have wanted to was just surreal.

the 7/11/11 promo was the perfect promo to follow up on the worked shoot. The worked shoot had the general problems, the 7/11/11 promo had the elaboration.

I pick the first one because it was so out of left field. I thought it was going to be another one of his rants that he was doing at the time, but what made it for me was when he said "I hate this idea that you are the best.... because you're not....... I'm the best... I'm the best in the WORLD!"

When he called Cena the New York Yankees, it was the first time I had really felt mark out in a long, long time.

I'd say the first if only because it did what it should have. The second mostly begot that stupid ice cream meme.

The 6/28/11 Raw promo was his best, and thus far the highlight of the year within the E, imho. ;D ;D ;D

I honestly can't decide. The first is the most excited I, and many of my friends (some who've never even watched wrestling) found most interesting in wrestling in year, but the Dynasty promo somehow extended that greatness to prove it wasn't a one time thing and thus may have topped it.
Really sucks that Money in the Bank didn't get a blu-ray that would have both of these promos on it.

The first, easy. It just felt more organic to me. His second promo wasn't bad and it had a lot of good buzzwords (calling Cena the Yankees, calling himself the Voice of the Voiceless). At the same time, it came off contrived at times; he's calling for change in the first, but in the second, it seems to take a backseat to ice cream, his face on the turnbuckles, and "CM Punk: The Movie". Just didn't feel as organic to me.

I thought the first one was better. I didn't think the "Yankees" comment was all that effective. Not everyone can identify the significance of that, even if Punk explained it.

The second one. It was phenomenal. He torched Vince and Cena. Th lookon his face when he got Vince to apologise was amazing.

7/11/11 got Cena's hometown to boo him. Not really a huge accomplishment, though. Offhand the same happened in Boston with Kurt Angle in 2005 and Edge in 2006.
