after watching his rap on raw I realized that he isnt really a rapper anymore and I have no idea just what his gimmick is. is this maybe why he get so much flack from the fans ? where there any other champions that didnt have a gimick since hogan (before you start bret hart did kind have a gimick it just wasnt really played up)

He's gone beyond a gimmick into being a unique character or personality. It's the same thing as what you would say Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, or Randy Savage's gimmick was.
