Now, don't get me wrong, I like the newly re-masked Kane, I think it's the best he's been since he won the World title, but is there a real point to putting the mask back on him?
I mean we all know what he looks like under it, so the air of mystery is pretty much all gone. Is the WWE trying to revive some Attitude era hype and this is one of the things, or is it something else entirely that I'm just not seeing?

I think the whole point of it was that he was going back to his roots, and felt he was too humanized. Meanwhile, it has failed miserably, imo, because everything is exactly the same as when he left. The only difference is he has a mask, a stupid wig, and a terrible looking outift.

With the mask, he really does look like a monster. Without it, he just looks like Absorbing Man.
Anyway, I really REALLY dig the welder's mask he wears for entrances.

As long as they dont do another Unmasking storyline, Im alright with this. Doing another one would be just, really really pointless.

Yeah, I don't see any problem. They did say that his masked face is his "true self" and stuff. Also, welder's mask is awesome as hell.

It's okay but hasn't exactly got me all that interested in what he is doing. When I think Kane I still think Jobber to the stars.

This is probably his last run, so it makes sense to bring him back as a modernized version of the character that brought him to the dance.

Vince: We'll put Kane back in the mask, that'll make him seem more dominant and evil. Writer: And what about the booking of the guy? Vince: What does that matter? Fans want the mask, that'll make Kane better! Writer: I'm not sure it'll work, he's seen as a jobber to the stars- Vince: Great idea, fans love Orton, feed him to Orton!

At least he put a shirt on to cover that nasty outie.
I've never been excited about that mask...I was actually hoping the welder's mask was his new mask...but instead he's got one that looks like a fruit roll up. As far as his character being a failure...well...it's Kane...his whole beat midcarders and jobbing to main eventers has been going on for years, it's a tired habit.

I think they just finally realized that Kane doesn't look intimidating without the mask. I don't know why it took them nearly 10 years to do something about it but whatever.

His face looks too fat in his current mask, he needs a different one

For whatever reason, Vince was voiced by J. Jonah Jameson when I read that in my head.

At least it'll stop the fans saying "Remask him!". I quite like the aesthetics, myself, but it'll show that it doesn't make much difference to his character.

Without the mask, Kane looked like Jason Voorhees's somewhat normal looking son but with the mask, he is back to his "true" form & besides chicks dig the mask
