Interesting fact - there has only been 1 diva's match from the last 5 episodes of Raw.

I think the whole point of the Divas Of Doom storyline was to bring up our hopes and crush them into tiny pieces... "The fans want a real women's division? To hell with that! Enjoy your K2 divas title run!" *sigh* It wouldn't surprise me if the poor booking of Beth and Nattie is punishment for actually being over during the very early days of DOD. That seems to be the "reward" for talents getting over on their own.
I remember being a seven/eight year old and seeing women in the ring like Trish, Lita, Molly, Victoria. Now as a seventeen year old we see crap like this. Another sad thing is that there's a lot of talent who can make a great division (such as the six women in my signature) but management is sexist and won't even bother.

This was bound to happen after WWE released any woman with wrestling skills and/or popularity. They're left with nothing. No incentive to book a good storyline.
I have hope for AJ, but what's the point if she has no division to compete in?

The Eve bashing is annoying, Just because your favorite diva isn't in a storyline like Eve's, don't bash the girl.

I'm not complaining. I always fast-forward through the divas matches anyway. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of the entire division.

I didn't see anyone bashing her, just saying they didn't think her promos were good and found her annoying. It would be bashing if people said "Eve sucks! She's the worse diva ever! I can't stand her! I wish she'd (insert inappropriate horrible thing here)."

I love the divas, so the state their in is heartbreaking. But their is nothing to get excited about anymore. All the uniqueness and excitement from the divas is gone. Whether it was an awesome theme, a cool move, or a unique entrance, it brought at least a little life to the division. Now, all the divas generally have the same movesets and there is nothing unique about a great deal of them.
I keep wishing for this new generation of divas to emerge. Because I think a division with Kharma, AJ, Kaitlyn, Naomi, Maxine, Raquel, Sofia, Paige, and Audrey would be one to watch.

I have to kind of laugh at Eve's "overness" since apparently it still isn't worth her having a match on RAW, just some segments where she talks.lol... That division has fallen so hard. It used to be a great highlight of the show, many years ago. Remember when Victoria and Trish were hitting each other with trash can lids? Or Jazz was messing people up? Actually that's better than a match at this point in time. I'd rather hear her talk and get heat from the crowd which she has still maintained since her turn by the way, instead of a forgettable 35 second match. Segment > Match when it comes to the divas. Specially since they usually dont get speaking parts. And the FACT that they give Eve speaking time and no divas match for the rest of the divas just shows how much they care about Eve. Also her still having the heat she has is amazing. XD

The speech for no apparent reason last week was a weird decision too...but I dunno, I guess you're right that it's better than nothing. Still I just keep thinking about how much heat she has and this is what they are doing with it...

Surely Beth has forfeited that title due to not defending it in 30 days?

Yea I also find that really troubling with Naty as well. Even if WWE had signed talents like Sara Del Rey or Cheerleader Melissa, they'd be sitting at home or getting rolled up in one minute too.

I don't know. I like to think that having talents of that caliber would incentivize them a bit. There was a report attributed to WO that the writers see Nattie and Beth as the only two women able to work a match and that it's a main reason why Divas get limited time. It sounds shaky at best, but I do think they'd put in more effort if they had shiny, untainted talents to invest in. They may very well be as tired of this current division as we are and are just killing time. Again, shaky. But the logic is trollish enough to apply to the 'creative' team.

Because if it were the case they would've hired those talents years ago instead of rejecting them for not being pretty enough.

It was pretty awesome not having one.
I think to test it out and make sure it works, they should go ahead and do another 10 episodes or so in a row with no diva matches.

Because if it were the case they would've hired those talents years ago instead of rejecting them for not being pretty enough. Don't get me wrong, I don't think this will lead to them changing their hiring practices anytime soon but you look at what they've done since Kharma left and by the end of last year, I don't think it'd be outlandish to say that they regretted their choices to fire the Divas they had. Kharma came in and she was shiny, new. When she left, they stopped trying. I think it's at least not out of the question to say an influx of new women would motivate them a bit. For a few months anyway, or at least to get them back to wrestling more regularly. If they keep this up, 'no Divas match' will be the new normal. On the broader point though, I am inclined to think that the Divas they have aren't worth bothering with by and large - the ones on the main roster. I feel like like the writers share this view and that's why they've taken little chances with them.
