So given AJ's shirt on smackdown it's safe to say she's expanded her pandering to a new group.  So what will be on her shirt next? Will it be like spankymac suggested and just say"Video Games"next week? Will it be a shirt saying"Goth"with lettering resembling blood and bats around it? Will it be a t-shirt saying"Emo"with lettering resembling mascara running down? Will it just get desperate and have"I like video games and every video game fan totally has a chance with me" on it? What do you think will be on her next shirt? I think it'll be a t-shirt that just says"Comic Book Nerd"on it. |

I don't really see the pandering. Just looks like any shirt you'd see when walking into hot topic; that just seems to be her taste in clothes.

I think it's obvious she panders to fans, but I agree with the people who have said in other threads that there's nothing wrong with that. She's clearly on the nerdy side and plays it up; it can be slightly irritating (like on NXT) but most of the time it doesn't bother me at all. I like AJ. I do have a problem with the punk rock tshirt though. I had one myself as a young teen because I liked punk rock, not realising in my youthfulness that the tshirt I was wearing was the furthest away from punk rock as you could get. AJ's tshirt is even worse than the one I had. I said this in another thread but there's just nothing left that you can buy that's neutral, everything says something about who you are. There's a great scene in The Devil Wears Prada (yes, I love that film) where Meryl Steep's character discusses just that. Everything you wear says a hell of a lot about you...even if you intend for it not to. |
